According to Anime On DVD VIZ has licensed the Anime series. The first volume comes out June 27. You can pre-order it here.

A dub is definately happening. I have seen the first episode in English.
It wasn't too bad. The voices were ok, and they kept the song in Japanese. I liked it. Though the episode was definately better in the original.
I am currently watching this series. Though it is slow going because my computer's power cord is hating me right now.

I hate the anime. It can die goddamnit die.die.die.

The Manga I like so much better because Izumi plays not only a bigger role, but he and Mereko play a big part together. I dispised the Anime because not only was there the occasinal filler but the ending was so unlike the Manga's originally [spoiler]Mitsuki KNEW Eichi died. She jsut pretended not to know[/spoiler]

Also in the anime [spoiler]Mereko died for Takuto and becomes a guardian angel[/spoiler] Wereas in the Manga [spoiler]She gets together with Izumi fro they go waay back[/spoiler]

The anime played out Izumi as a villan.

I finally finished this anime the other night. The end made me cry so hard.

It had the perfect ending for any series. And I was happy that the ending was all about concluding the relationships between Mitsuki, Takuto, and Meroko and those three were the backbone of the series.

Awesome anime. A+

I've read some of the manga, although not very much. However, the anime series is great. I also think the ED songs are among the best anime songs (I've downloaded all of them).

As for a description, here's a synopsis of episode 1 - it's probably the easiest way to describe the show. Kouyama Mitsuki is 12 years old and wants to be a singer. However, she has a malignant tumor in her throat. If it's operated on, she will almost certainly lose her voice. However, without the operation, she could die. She's determined to sing, though, because of a promise she made with Eichi, a boy she liked who moved away.

She is in her room when two Shinigami (Japanese Gods of death), Takuto and Meroko, appear. To their shock, she's able to see them. She finds out that she's going to die in one year. She decides to try to be a singer in that time, but can't get into auditions because she's too young. So, Takuto decides to help her out by changing her into a 16-year-old without any voice problems. If she fails the next audition, she'll stop running away from them.

However, she succeeds, so Takuto and Meroko have to keep her identity a secret (she can be transformed back and forth between the two forms with Takuto's help). The Shinigami also have to make sure that they do nothing that will either make her die sooner than she's supposed to, or that will allow her to live longer than she's supposed to.

It was a great series - really good humour throughout, but then it got serious towards the end as the one year mark approaches. The ending was excellent. Several other people who were watching the show shared this opinion.

I started watching the show because I read that. Today I just finished it and am pretty much speechless. The songs throughout the anime were great. I agree with you Shansen. The ending had me EXTREMELY choked up. The entire episode kept me jittery.

[spoiler] It made me really sad that Takuto, Meroko, and Mitsuki won't get to be all toghther again. I also felt bad for Meroko the entire series because all her love was unrequited. It also felt terrible that Takuto had to loose all of his memories and Mitsuki cannot become Full Moon anymore. I still think it was a great anime but I wish some things had been done differently. When Takuto and Mitsuki kissed it would have been nice if Meroko had been outside the window and said something like "finally" or mabye something regretful. Even thought she does become an angel I wish they could all be together again some how, or even better made some sort of sequel episode.[/spoiler]
