Most Recent Anime Vewing

Post by Neo Dead Moon » Sun Mar 07, 2004 11:29 am

What anime have you seen recently? It's hard for me to keep up to date what everyone is seeing, so heopfully this topic will make things a little easier.

For me, my most recent anime viewing was of the last two episodes of Hand Maid May, a show I really like. ^_^

I just saw the first three DVDs of Yami no Matsuei (Descendents of Darkness), which was really enjoyable (pretty booyssssssss....).
I also re-watched my one lone first DVD of Serial Experiments Lain,a nd it made me want to get the rest of the series.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

To be very honest, it was the Sailor Stars episode with Sailor Sommelier. But some recent views were Chobits (DVD #4) and I My Me! Strawberry Eggs (Volume 3 & 4) and Kirby (That new episode that was on yesterday.)

Me: This is coming from the kid who doesn't know what Viagra is!
Ko: It's cold medicine, right?
Our Group: NO!!!
Me: Can I just say?
Dylan: Sure, it's no weirder than what normally comes out of your mouth.
Me: (says what)
Ko: .....What's that?
Me: ......*starts crying*
Carley: STEVE! STEVE GET OVER HERE AND TELL KO WHAT VIAGRA DOES!
Steve: See, it's like this: The bridge goes up and the soldiers rush out....

Tiff: Aww, you killed someone for me. That's so sweet in a f***ed up sort of way!

The last thing I watched was The first 3 episodes of Ronin Warriors/Samurai Troopers that I recently got in the mail.
And really, why shouldn't we be afraid? In case you haven't heard, life is terminal. Cigarettes will kill you. So will your cellphone. Your car is a deadly weapon and alcohol is a quiet killer. Don't lick the lead-based paint on the walls. Don't lick the back of a postage stamp and certainly don't lick any strangers! That will bring you down quickly indeed. Don't drink the water but don't drink less than eight glasses a day. Your enviroment is toxic, your natural resources are dwindling, your days are numbered, but what ever you do, don't panic! The stress, don't you know, will kill you.

I've been watching rerun episodes of DBZ that are showing on CN right now, and last night I watched some of my old Tenchi Universe episodes that I recorded off of CN a couple years ago. I haven't watched anything new since last month's Mystical Ninja release, I'm waiting for volume 3 to come out ^^

Anubi: Oh God.
Anubi: I just saw Mog/Terra hentai.

Anubi: Oo, fun.

An episode of the Astroboy remake on Toonami. It was pretty entertaining, actually...

I recently watched Read or Die, both subbed and dubbed with my friends. We went around the rest of the night saying "Tah Papah"
Mr. James : Lost a satellite on liftoff today.
Dave : Cost?
Mr. James : 10 million dollars.
Dave : Result?
Mr. James : Extreme set back.
Dave : Milk?
Mr. James : Spilled.
Dave : Gonna cry about it?
Mr. James : Not even.
Dave : I''m sitting on a rather sharp tack.
Mr. James : That's gotta hurt.
Dave : Well, life's a bitch...
Mr. James : ...And then you die.
Dave : My...
Mr. James : ...oh...
Dave : ...my.

I also just watched Read or Die over break after my housemate bought the DVD on Wednesday and I bought the last .hack//SIGN LE DVD. I've finally started to go through my .hack//SIGN DVDs and have watched episodes 1 - 7 so far, and will hopefully finish off the series within a couple weeks.

It's Spring Break, so I've watched quite a bit of anime so far in the last few days. Metropolis subtitled, Pretty Sammy OVA dubbed, Castle in the Sky subtitled, and just started watching through Vol. 2 of Abenobashi (which I got in today).

I really like the art of Inuyasha/Ramna 1/2 (how do you make that 1/2 symbol?). A few days ago I was at my local Borders bookstore and I saw an Inuyasha art book I really want. Anywayz, Next to all the IY and Ramna mangas I found a series called Maison Ikkoku. Let me tell you.. THIS SERIES IS GREAT if you like IY-style art. Without giving anything away, it's basically a 1986 Love Hina in a way... Read about it at http://animenfo.com/animetitle,3,wdzqwi ... kkoku.html. OK, it's different from LH but it's pretty similar. I really like it. I have some episodes I'll be watching this week. I also recently saw one called Narue no Sekai (Narue's World or The World of Narue). Read about that at: http://animenfo.com/animetitle,1184,gnf ... sekai.html.
