Anything else think it would be interesting if Kagura and Haru fell in love? A scene like this could happen.

Kagura: Oh Haru! ...I MISSED YOU! ::Runs and clobbers him making him black Haru::

Haru: What do you think you are doing you foolish woman! ::Smacks her in the head::

Kagura: HARU CAN YOU SAY THAT! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! ::Begins to start beating him up::

Haru: You dare challenge me!

Kagura: HARU! NO ONE LOVES YOU AS MUCH AS I DO!!!!!

::Both keep fighing:::

it was really cute but i gave up on it, it got a little to boring, but i absolutly LOVE haru!!!

Thanks to a spoiler page, I know the whole story up to chapter 131 ^^° Don't try it, it's getting better and better. Don't ruin it like I did. But I still want to buy the next volumes since I've only READ the dialogue, but not actually seen some scans of the pages.
Anyway, now I know which characters get paired up ^^°

I think I'm the only Fruits Basket fan that does not like Haru and Rin as a couple. I don't know why either. Rin is my favorite character, and Haru is in my top five, but for some reason I hate them together. Maybe it's because I was hoping that Rin would have been a lone wolf character that tries to do everything on her own and feels like she doesn't need anyone, but in the end breaks down (to Torhu obviously) and slowly builds herself back up. Or maybe I liked the idea of Haru getting with a cute sweet girl.

I used to say that I liked them, and I really tried to. But today I read volume 14 again and realized just how much I don't like them together. The part where Rin said "I want to be Haru's heart, that way if Haru dies, I'll die too." Man I just wanted to smack Rin and tell her to listen to her self.

I also can't stand the character Machi. She's someone I just want to smack. I've read summaries of later chapters and it looks like she's going to play a bigger part. She seems like someone who would become a crazy cat lady later in life.

Machi is just having family issues, that's why she acts like a robot. I don't want to give any spoilers, but I think Machi can be a really cute girl at times^^

As to Rin:
[spoiler] She's still a loner, sort of. I mean, she tries way too hard to break the curse on her own. Later, she does something that Akito won't like. And you will/won't like (depends on what you think) Akito does to her: (S)he cuts Rin's (Isuzu's) hair. Well, surprise, surprise ^^° But I guess nobody wants to hear that xD[/spoiler]

i like how we saw that rin wasn't as tough as she seemed. i think it showes her vunerability, which makes her more realistic. if she had kept trying to be all tough and "i don't need people blah blah blah", i don't think i could have respected her much.

and i thought the line when she talks about being haru's heart is pretty cute too ^_^ maybe im just into that "until death" type of love

I realize that Rin still is the lone wolf type character. I have read summaries for later chapters so I know what happends. I don't know what it is, but I just don't like her and Haru as a couple. That's not going to stop me from enjoying the manga or stop Rin from being my favorite character.

Maybe I just don't think either is in the right mental state to have a relationship with someone else. Rin obviously has issues, and she seemed entirely dependent on Haru with her wanting to die with him, and Haru, well he has a split personality. Maybe I should have never taken a psych class.

I also don't like the whole, we grew up together so we must be in love. I'd just rather them have been childhood friends.
