Me too. The episodes on the fourth DVD mostly sucked, and I just haven't felt motivated to buy the remaining two. I'd much rather buy more of the Excel Saga manga, which I find much better.

Wolf's Rain- I watched one episode of this and never bothered to watch the other 8 or so I had on the computer at the time. I think I'll give it another try when it shows up on Adult Swim later this year.

To Heart- It was just boring. I couldn't even get through the first episode...

Magic Knight Rayearth - I really like the manga, and I really liked the first season of the TV series. The OVAs were what drove me to give up, as they are nothing like either.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention Wedding Peach. ~_~

And for MKR, I think the second season is at least still worth trying out. It's much better than the OVAs (which were pretty mediocre) but not as good as the first season.

Wow, I love Excel Saga the anime, and really don't care for the manga. Interesting, lol.

It's the same thing for me as well concerning Excel Saga the manga (as well as the fourth DVD. However, the next two DVDs are MUCH more entertaining).

Oh yeah, I forgot about Wedding Peach. I gave up that poor excuse of a Sailormoon clone after four episodes. Supposedly it picks up later on, but I'm not shelling out $30 for each DVD to find that out.

Furi Kuri — I had heard much praise over this series. I was told it was fun, and I normally like fun stuff. I watched the first episode and… o_0 …but I tried to give it a chance. By the third or fourth episode… o_0 …I was ready to pluck my brain out and toss it in the blender, because it was broken by then anyway.

Rurouni Kenshin — SHUT UP AND FIGHT ALREADY!! You have swords! Use them!

Big O — I got bored with it quickly. It was just too repetitive, and the animation style itself was bland.

Reign — AHG! Put some clothes on! The art style, and the way the story flowed turned me off in a hurry.
NameGoesHere - Now made with 100% more ingredients.

Wow, I'm surprised by everyone that said Naruto. I'm so addicted to it. ^_^ Well, for me, I haven't really given up on any, but I have to say Digi Charat Nyo is a little too cutesy.

YES! God, I hated Furi Kuri. I tried to watch and give it a chance, but like you said...after three or four episodes, I just wanted to bash my head against the wall. And the chick on the motorcyle with the guitar...Jeez, I wanted to drop kick her off of a bridge.

Finally - some more Furi Kuri haters! Almost everyone else I know thinks the series is just absolutely awesome, but I have no idea why. I hated it. We showed all of it, so I wound up seeing all of it, but I couldn't stand it from about ... oh, about 5 minutes of episode 1.

I was also annoyed for a while because the subtitles for the version we were watching (a fansub; this was over a year and a half ago) were the exact wrong colour, so they blended in with the background. But after a while, it didn't matter because I just stopped paying attention to the screen.

I watched the first two episodes once, and it was bad. However, I decided that I might have been too harsh, and so later on I saw the first 4 episodes. I then decided that I would never watch another episode ever again.

Tenshi Na Konamaiki -
An anime about a 9 year old kid and his female friend the same age are walking along a river and they find a book...and inside it is a mischievous sorcerer. He comes out somehow I don't remember and the boy asks it to make him a more manly man... but instead he does the opposite... Basically the whole anime is about the main character, Megumi (the last name skips my mind atm) trying to find the book with the sorcerer so he can be changed back into a guy. It's been 7 or so years that he was turned into a girl...
I really liked the first 20 some odd episodes because it was funny... but then around episode 30-ish it got boring... Maybe I'll revisit it sometime but not now because I'm watching too many shows as it is...

I remembered another. Cyborg 009. I never really wanted to see it, but I always give new anime a chance. I did NOT like it. The first two or three eps were ok and kinda funny, but...meh.

Pokemon - Its not that I hate it, its just really repetitive. Its always Ash walking along, bumps in to some guy with a problem that has something to do with Pokemon, Team Rocket tries to steal Pikachu and gets blown away, daily problem solved, Ash continues journey. I only watch gym battles and really important events (like Misty leaving) now.

Serial Experiments Lain- I watched four episodes of that and had no clue what the hell was going on...

FLCL - Same as above

Excel Saga - Same as above.

Reign - This was a big disappointment. The concept of an anime about someone as interesting as Alexander the Great is awesome, but the art direction sucked. I'm sorry but when one of the greatest military leaders in history looks like Michael Jackson, it just doesn't come off as very cool. And why the hell is everyone fighting in thongs?

Sonic X - There is something about Sonic interacting with normal humans that doesn't feel right. That, and it's pretty boring. I watched one of the earlier episodes where he infiltrates a secret military base to save one of his animal friends. When you are bored by the main character sneaking in to a top secret military base, you know its a dull show. Hell, even the American cartoon was more exciting than this.

Kirby - Being Kirby, I was expecting this anime to be cutesy. But my God, this show makes Sailormoon SuperS look like Princess Mononoke. And the plot for the N64 Kirby game was more interesting than this (at least the "bad ending" threw me off.)

Cooking Master Boy- Initially, it was about a boy learning and refining his cooking technique and I could respect that. I could even tolerate him competing against unscrupulous cooks for important titles and prizes. But when they made go on a quest for
magic cooking utensils I had to stop...

..and sailor moon ISN'T ridiculously repetitive? ^^;
Evil presence is felt. Energy is stolen. Senshi try to figure out why. Monster of the day appears. Senshi fight. Usagi klutzes out. Tux appears. Tells her to attack. She attacks. They win. Yay.

I love Sailor Moon, but it's pretty damn repetitive lol.

and yeah, I kinda gave up on Lain, too. I liked it, but I got way too confused and couldn't afford to watch the rest. Maybe someday.

I gave up on Lain and FLCL too. They're too weird and make me think too much. :P I liked FLCL a little at first, but then it started to annoy me.

Utena is the only anime that relies on a lot of symbolism that I've enjoyed very much. I think it combines the symbolic thing very nicely with the story. Well NGE is alright too.

At least there's small changes made to the plot of Sailor Moon about every 10 episodes, whereas with Pokemon it's every 50 episodes.

Magical Project S--Too much like Sailormoon....and Sailormoon is way better. MPS is 3^, anywayz.

InuYasha--Nobody knows how to shut up, and the storyline's just kinda gay.

Transformers Armada--One word----GAY!!!! They totally messed up a great 80s classic...I'd rather go for the 80s cheesiness, thanks.
If you love something, set it free....If it comes back, set it on fire....But if it never comes back....HUNT IT DOWN AND KILL IT!!!!!

Um, that's because Magical Project S is supposed to be a parody of magical girl anime....and I didn't know Inuyasha or Transformers: Armada had yaoi in it. I definetly wanna check it out now. ^^

Dear, I don't think Pokemon is MEANT to be dramatic and serious. So I don't think changes to the plot really matter.
Don't get me wrong. I don't want Pokemon. I don't care for Pokemon. But it irks me when people compare a completely different anime to one that's nowhere NEAR the same genre. That'd be like if I said, "I love serious anime like Evangelion. But I hate ExcelSaga becuase it's not serious enough."
Excel Saga isn't MEANT to be serious (until maybe, the last three episodes), so one cannot watch it expecting it to be so. Same with Pretty Sammy/Magic Project S. It's MEANT to be a parody of Sailor Moon *shrug*
