Animes that suck dubbed

I dunno if this thread has been done yet or if it even belongs in OT, but what animes have you seen dubbed that suck compared to their subbed counterparts? I'll start.

1. Sailor Moon
2. Pokemon
3. Dragon Ball Z (though I dislike it either way)

Ok now it's your turn.

P.S. Mods if this topic has been done already gomen.. And if not I hope it's successful. I did a search and nothing with this title came up so...

The Sonic the Hedgehog movie. In my opinion, at least, it had THE WORST voice acting job I have heard. Not that the voices had "bad accents" but it sounded boring and wooden. At least weird voices (which the other Sonic shows had) would've spiced things up a bit.

Weiss Kreuz. Love the series, hate the dub. The actors couldn't act even if their lives depended on it. The only thing good about the dub was the blooper scenes...

From what I've seen-

Cardcaptors
Sailor Moon
Evangelion
Fushigi Yuugi

The first two were hacked like hell. From voices to plot. And the other two have so many horrid voices.

I'd say Slayers too but I don't think it's fair to judge it based on the one episode I saw dubbed. Most of the voices were bad though. Especially Lina's and Zelgadis'

Castle in the Sky. The gave a 10 year old a 30 year old voice! I never watched it long enough to see if it was accurate (It was that painful) but I know the voices were really, really, bad. And of couse I have to say the obligatory Sailor Moon.

I understand how that can ruin a dub; it ruined the Sonic the Hedgehog movie dub for me. Not that the voices were OOC (which I often think is amusing) but I don't like flat voices in characters, unless they're unemotional.

Do you know? Do you know? Do you know how SCARY the Utena dub is?

Miki (originally voiced by Aya Hisakawa, just to give you an idea of the type of voice he had) now sounds like the child molester who lives down my street! The scenes he has with Anthy are downright frightening due to their unbearable dub voices. Anthy sounds like a 40-year old woman addicted to painkillers. Akio likes to speak really quietly. Saionji is British.

Add this to the fact that nobody ever pronounces Utena's name properly and you've got one shitty dub. Parts of the CWI SM dub were acted out better than this.

What animes suck being dubbed? How about ALL OF THEM???

Honestly, I hate hate HATE anything, and I mean ANYTHING dubbed. Animation, live action, even if it is in a language I do not know and understand it still drives me crazy.

LOL Hmm I thought the Utena dub was decent (not great but decent), except for Saionji's voice and mispronouncing a couple names.

The Pretty Sammy OVAs had an awful English dub. First of all, there's the usual Tenchi Muyo English voice cast. I usually think they do a decent job, but they were just awful in Pretty Sammy. There was no enthuaism from them at all and everyone spoke rather blandly. It's almost like they didn't want to do this job. Then, there's the voices of the new characters in Pretty Sammy. Misao sounds ilke a 30 yr old woman instead of a cute 10 yr old little girl. Is it just me, though, or does it seem like Misao's English dub voice is different in Episode 2 than it is in Episode 1? It just seems like Misao actually sounds cute in that episode, so I'm not sure if her va's voice acting has improved since Episode 1 or if they got another VA to do the part. I also hated Pixie Misa in the dub of Episode 1 mostly for the same reason I hate Misao's. I don't know what bugs me about Rumiya's English voice, but there's something about it that I just don't like.

Then, there's the awful translation. I won't go into too much detail about it, but I'll just ask this, what kind of kid doesn't know what an arcade is?! Not to mention that awful valleygirl slang in episode 2. The only thing I liked about the Pretty Sammy dub was some of the songs that were dubbed in English, but that's about it.

YES!! I thought that the Pretty Sammy OAVs were dubbed horribly as well. Even the usually decent voice actors from the dub sounded bad here (well, except Ayeka, who always had a bad voice in the dub). And Misao, Pixy Misa, Ramia, and Rumiya's voices were all terrible as well. And the English songs...ugh. Yokoyama Chisa is so better a singer than the girl who sings the dubbed songs. And the songs were the only thing I liked about the Rretty Sammy OAVs in the first place..=(

Creepy fact: did you know that dubbed Ryo-Ohki is voiced by the same person who does Jimmy Neutron in that show of the same name on Nickleodeon? Plain creepy, no?
