I just started to watch this series and it's SOO FUNNY!! I think it's just as exaggerated as Excel Saga and the sort. I'd really recommend this to anyone who likes ridiculous animes. Go here (http://animenfo.com/animetitle,857,rtsm ... _daio.html) to learn more about it. You won't be dissapointed.

Haven't seen the anime yet, but I LOVE the manga! It's so cute and funny. Osaka, Tomo, and Kagura are my favorite characters.

I haven't seen very many episodes of Azumanga Daioh, but from what I've seen I've really loved it. It's quite possibly one of the most random anime I've ever seen. There's practically zero plot, but it's really hilarious. My favorite character is Osaka, though I also love Yukari-sensei.

VIA LA Chiyo-chan and her dad. I love this series the moive fomr what I saw was funny also. One of the best parts 9 for me when

[spoiler]The firls find out Kimura-sensei. is married, when they're at teh beach and get told "fact of life" the next moring Chiyo ask a ustion about it. Thje faces exppersion both times are worth a giggle. And when one of thwem meet an Englsih guy and can't understand him [/spoiler]

Am I right to belive you guy's and buy in the US then?

I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to say here, but both the manga and anime are licensed in the US. At least 2 volumes of the manga are out (the third is either now out or will be very soon), and the anime is coming out pretty soon also.

My favorite character is Kurosawa-sensei, aka Nyamo. My favorite episode is episode 22, for so many reasons...

I read the first parts of the Vol.1 manga by ADV. I have to give props to ADV for doing such a good job as a new manga branch!

Anime News Network just posted a news article (link to ANN page) about this ... the first DVD is coming out on April 27th.

There's also going to be a release with 2 Azumanga Daioh lapel pins (Chiyo-chan and Kamineko) + an artbox (link to ANN page).

Most dubbed animes I've seen are ruined... I hope it's gonna be bilingual... Take SM for example.. Unless this is an UNCUT dub I think it's gonna suck... Any word as to how many eps there're gonna be per DVD? Like 3-4? Comments on this?

Pretty much all of the titles ADV dubs are uncut (they release some edited stuff on DVD, but those were usually produced by different studios), and for the most part, they are also bilingual. Azumanga is bilingual, so do not worry. I have not tried too many ADV titles until recently, but going by the dubs of Pretear, Angelic Layer, and Super GALS! (all done by IS&M, the same studio that will be doing Azumanga Daioh) it will probably be high quality IMHO.

It was said that the ep. count was going to be unusual, but the whole series will be 6 discs in the end (which is normal for a series of this length)

Does anyone know if the moive will get inculde? it's only about 15-30 mintues ( I can't rember how long it was)

The volumes will match the Japanese releases. The first two discs will be first year, middle two is the second year, the last two will be the third year.

I've heard that it was only five minutes....I can't say for sure though, as I haven't seen it yet.

Azumanga Daiou is 26 episodes long. Plus, it has a 6 minute movie and I think a 4 minute special called "Azumanga Web Daiou".

I'm pretty sure ADV picked it up too. It'll probably be an extra on one of the DVDs.

It's only about 5 minutes long, btw. Pretty entertaining, though.
