Oh My Me! Strawberry Eggs!

Post by Celexa » Fri Jan 16, 2004 10:03 pm

Has anyone ever seen this or a preview? I've never actually *seen* it, but it was a preview on my Chobits DVD. It seems like a really cute and funny!

For those who don't know about it, a man named Hibiki got a degree in physical education and wants to become a gym teacher. The school he wants to get hired at only hires female teachers. So his landlady helps him look and sound like a women to become a teacher there.

At least that's what I gathered from the preview.

Me: This is coming from the kid who doesn't know what Viagra is!
Ko: It's cold medicine, right?
Our Group: NO!!!
Me: Can I just say?
Dylan: Sure, it's no weirder than what normally comes out of your mouth.
Me: (says what)
Ko: .....What's that?
Me: ......*starts crying*
Carley: STEVE! STEVE GET OVER HERE AND TELL KO WHAT VIAGRA DOES!
Steve: See, it's like this: The bridge goes up and the soldiers rush out....

Tiff: Aww, you killed someone for me. That's so sweet in a f***ed up sort of way!

It's hard for me to watch the series with my mom or my sister because they always comment on the fact that Kozuha [sp?] have similar personality characteristics. So I've learned to simply watch it by myself.

Anyways, I have the first volume of the series, it's pretty cute and funny. Not bad for a 12 episode series. It sucks because our local media play has volume 1 and 4, but I can't find 2 or 3. It's been awhile since I've watched it, and now that I'm talking about it I'll have to watch it again soon, but I think he has a general teaching degree, not just gym. Helping Kozuha sprint was a test to see if Hibiki could be a reasonble teacher. I can be wrong. As I've said, it's been months since I've seen Strawberry Eggs.

^^; also, it's "I, My, Me : Strawberry Eggs"
And really, why shouldn't we be afraid? In case you haven't heard, life is terminal. Cigarettes will kill you. So will your cellphone. Your car is a deadly weapon and alcohol is a quiet killer. Don't lick the lead-based paint on the walls. Don't lick the back of a postage stamp and certainly don't lick any strangers! That will bring you down quickly indeed. Don't drink the water but don't drink less than eight glasses a day. Your enviroment is toxic, your natural resources are dwindling, your days are numbered, but what ever you do, don't panic! The stress, don't you know, will kill you.

It's out? Yay! Have you tried Amazon, or do they not have it either. And as for title, I was close, right? The preview I watched was in english, and it said he got a degree in phys. ed. But then again, Sailor Moon taught me never to trust dubs... - . -

Have you tried The Right Stuf International? They have tons of anime.
*check's website's DVD list*
Yep they got it. Vol 1-4 are all in and in stock. Here's the website

I buy my anime here when the local store doesn't have a certain title. It's in the S section.

I usually just order my domestics from http://www.uln.com
As much as I like Strawberry Eggs, I have other things on my list to buy first. :D

I just bought the first DVD, and I love it! The best part is, after bad dub experiences, this one is dubbed really well. My favorite episode so far is #4, "Delicate Tear Concealer" because it was humorus, but I cried when the girl (AAGH! HOW COULD I FORGET HER NAME?) was
by her mom's gravestone, and her mother was dying and told her to smile since she liked her smile.
It's unusual for me to cry during something like that, I normally just feel sad. I love anime that can make me both laugh and cry! What's everyone else's favorite episode? #, name, and why please!

Kozuha ^^

Yeah that was sad, but then again it doesn't take much to make me cry if somehting is really happy or really sad. ;_; I'm a soft touch. I can't even count the animes that I've watched that pressed my "make you cry" button ... just too many. Some made me shed a tear and others made me out and out cry.

Kuzuha. But why call her that when we can just call her Fuuko?

I think my fav eps are the last four. Absolutely brilliant.

And my fav characters? Fuuko (cuz she's cute) and Fujio (because she kicks major ass)
"That new girl? She seems kinda weird to me. And what kind of name is Buffy anyway?"
"Hey, Aphrodisia!"

If you're reading this, then you've lost the game.

My favorite characters:

- Hibiki because when he crossdresses he looks creepily like a character I made up in 1995. Plus he's funny.

- Ba-chan :: One word: Gun

- Aoki, he's funny!
