Looks like an excellent cast. Finally, CCS is going to get the respect it deserves.
Don't you wish Gundams were real?

I wonder how Sakura's voice is going to sound? And Tomoyo! This is so exciting! XD

For those of you who can't look at a VA's name and hear they're voice (like me), I've provided a run-down of the cast list and some of their major roles (I'm only hitting the main cast).

Sakura: Kari Wahlgren (Haruko from FLCL, Cinnamon from Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar, Cher Degri from Wolf's Rain)

Syaoran Li: Mona Marshall (Minoru from Chobits, Motoko from Love Hina)

Eriol: Johnny Yong Bosch (Vash from Trigun, Adam Park from Power Rangers)

Meilin: Julie Maddalena (Tanya from Battle Athletes, Yumi Ohmura from Chobits, Sarah from Love Hina, Ura from El Hazard: The Wanderers

Tomoyo: Michelle Ruff (Aoi from Ai Yori Aoshi, Chii from Chobits, Fujiko from Lupin III, Koishi Herikawa from Please! Teacher)

Yukito/Yue: Steve Cannon (Rhint from Cowboy Bebop [the pseudo-hermaphrodite], Shiro Amado from Gundam 08th MS Team OAV, Kamui from the X TV serie)

Kero: Wendee Lee (Faye from Cowboy Bebop, BlackRose from .hack//INFECTION, Ichino from Battle Athletes Victory TV series, Kaolla Su from Love Hina)

That's the main cast list. It was a pain to type, so appreciate it (after finishing it last time, I accidentally hit backspace when there was nothing to type onto. Apparantly, its a shortcut key for 'Back.' So, I typed this twice!) Mods, sorry about the length. I'd just link it, but its from information scattered all across the web. Sorry!

Very interesting ParaKiss_Groupie, thanks for typing it out! I never realised how many of them I'd heard before... funny how most of them seem to have been in other CLAMP anime dubs O.o

BTW, another one of Michelle Ruff's roles is Safety from Risky Safety, which is probably a better indication of how she'll sound as Tomoyo (although hopefully she won't be quite so high-pitched...)

You're welcome. I had nothing else to do, and I thought it would help. I have an idea for the voices now. I don't recognize names, so this was as much for me as for you guys. I'm very selfish like that.

Caught one little mistake on Steve Cannon. Rhint is not the hermaphrodite guy, he's the guy that was with Jet's ex-girlfriend.

Julie Maddalena also has two notable roles in Tenchi, Mayuka in the second movie, and Sakuya in Tenchi in Tokyo.

Oh yeah, and since we're talking about CLAMP roles here, Julie Maddalena is Hikaru in Magic Knight Rayearth, Mona Marshall is Ascot in MKR and Nataku in X TV series, Michelle Ruff is Kotori in X TV, Steve Cannon is Clef in MKR, and Wendee Lee is Umi and Princess Emeraude in MKR, as well as Karen Kasumi in X TV.

All in all, I'm pretty pleased with this cast. A few of the ones I was hoping for, like Steve Cannon and Julie Maddalena, made it in. Can't wait to hear how they sound.

Thank you, PK. It wasn't terribly long, and it was quite useful. ^^

Wow, Wendee Lee as Kero-chan.

Oops! Sorry! Thanks for pointing that out to me!

I was kind of hoping that Sakura would be voiced by Sherry Lynn.

Well, Roberta Kim is a "soundalike" of Sherry Lynn. She's in there as Naoko. Naoko is not typical of Sherry Lynn's little girl roles, so I'm wondering how she will come off (got to wait and see :))

Hmm, maybe I'll actually be able to watch the whole dub this time. Thank God it's not those terrible Nelbaka voices. Shudder.
I am a loser!

Aww, come on. You know you like the valleygirl talk. Like, whatever. Like, that is so not my scene. So, I'm like, and she's like, and he's like, and we're like, whatevvverrrr.

I also reognize Mona Marshal from another anime dub: Digimon, as the voice of Izzy...

The rest of the cast I have nothing to really say about, except Wendee Lee as Kero O_o

I've got the movie in this week and got to see Bang Zoom's dub, which is pretty good. It's a shame Pioneer didn't go with dubbing the whole series from the start (separately from Nelvana's dub, like ADV is doing with Saint Seiya right now), so the cast could have a better chance to get into their roles.

Most of the cast was pretty good. Julie Maddalena, Steve Cannon, and Lia Sargent in particular are favorites of mine, and they didn't disappoint me here. Kari Wahlgren's Sakura is good, but took some getting used to.

Does Sakura actually sound like the original for once? I have got to hear this! I want to get the special edition but I guess the normal one will do. I think it's cheaper too. :D Actually, I'm not that big of a CCS fan. I didn't watch the series either but know it's basic plot line.

Kari Wahlgren sounds a little different from the original Sakura (Sakura Tange), but she fits with the character IMHO (she just took me a little getting used to). They also left in "Hoe!!!", which I think was done pretty nicely in the dub.

As for watching the movie, it takes place after the end of the series, so you might want to hold off until then (as the movie will spoil you on a few things that happen in the series, and you might be a little confused about some things)
