Has anyone watched this yet? I picked up the first DVD with the box a few days ago, and finally watched it today. I love it! Yoshitoshi Abe is a genius. I loved Lain, and never saw Niea_7. But I think this is his best. The plot is very simple, somewhat lacking. It's basically a "Why are we here?" story. But the characters are very rich, and the presentation of everything... I love it. I just wanna know everyone else's opinions on it.

I love it, its a great series. Rakka is so adorable! The story is sometimes very slow but thats not too bad because its really the characters that make the show. I like the art and music style; I was really suprised somthing so good could be based off of a doujinshi!

I've seen the first 10 episodes so far, and I've been enjoying it. I was a fan of Lain and I like shows that make you think, even if you don't always understand exactly what the hell is going on. Can't wait to see the rest of it.

I've been wanting to see this for quite some time. It's on my list of things to rent when I have the time to watch them.
I've heard from several friends of mine that it's quite good.

Haibane Renmei
Haibane Renmei is one of my most favorite anime series. In my opinion, the storyline and music are very touching, and the animation is excellent. My mom likes to watch this anime, as well. I'm going to buy a Haibane Renmei t-shirt and the soundtrack!

And really, why shouldn't we be afraid? In case you haven't heard, life is terminal. Cigarettes will kill you. So will your cellphone. Your car is a deadly weapon and alcohol is a quiet killer. Don't lick the lead-based paint on the walls. Don't lick the back of a postage stamp and certainly don't lick any strangers! That will bring you down quickly indeed. Don't drink the water but don't drink less than eight glasses a day. Your enviroment is toxic, your natural resources are dwindling, your days are numbered, but what ever you do, don't panic! The stress, don't you know, will kill you.

Which Haibane Renmei soundtrack do you have? I was going to buy the Pioneer Entertainment one, but for some reason they left out "Blue Flow". So, I'm going to buy a soundtrack off the internet by a different company that has that song, in addition to the other songs from the series.ParaKiss_Groupie wrote:*has the soundtrack* ^^ Haibane is my favourite, and I'm obsessed. By the way, I bought the Haibane Renmei t-shirt today!

I have the Geneon release. I don't have the T-shirt, but I have a wall scroll, the soundtrack, and all four DVDs plus the artbox.

I have the whole series on DVD. I like how the story and the religious symbolism tie together. And the music is so pretty.
Not to mention that it actually has, in my opinion, a pretty good dub. (I think that Rakka's scream in the first episode was a little more blood-curdling in the English dub than in the original Japanese.)

Yeah, I heard that the dub for it was pretty much equal to the Japanese acting. ^^
I have yet to hear it myself, though- but that's what my sister watches. ^^;

Believe me, the dub is worth listening to. It's about as good as the Cowboy Bebop dub. And it's not an earsore like the Escaflowne dub. XP
