Wedding Peach seems a lot like a knock-off of Sailor Moon, but a fun knock-off. Speaking of Sailor Moon, in (I think it was) about the begining of episode 5, did anyone notice Rei and Ami at the front of a crowd scene? (In the school uniforms of the girls in Wedding Peach) I thought that was funny (and really easy to catch, unlike a lot of other in-jokes).

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed. I thought it was really funny when I saw it in the trailer.

Since I got the first DVD a little bit ago, I can finally answer my own question! Yes, she does! I think she's my favorite, too. I really like it, but in some parts it gets VERY choppy (both the audio and video, but the audio is more noticeable) and then I turn the volume off and play other music instead (I just read the subtitles then).

Here is the image for volume 4.
I think it is very pretty. I can't wait until I'm able to buy the series.

The last volume of Wedding Peach manga is now out. It was so beautiful! Scarlette was a bit of a pain. But I'm very happy that it ended like it did.
I really wanted to see more of the wedding of all the love angels
Luckily she lightens up in her side story! It was so cute! Anyone who hasn't read it needs to run down and read the whole series.
Here is a pic of volume 05. Not as pretty as Volume 04 but still pretty.

Wow, it's...Rubeus.....o_O;

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

Tiff, you're right! That guy (I'm guessing he's Ignatius by the fire symbol) does look like Rubeus! Actually, he looks like a cross between Rubeus and Prince Diamond. (ewww, scary, one's trying to kill Sailor Moon and the other wants to marry her :shock: )

I did the EXACT same thing. I borrowed it thinking it would be cool, but it was so much like sailor moon, I was completely turned off.

I knew this had to be a BSSM pardoy!

Heck, I saw a Rei and Ami lookalike in the preview for it.

Agreed. I've only seen screencaps and snyopses of the series and it really looks like a BSSM knockoff.

Here's something I just thought of that is an interesting parallel between Wedding Peach and Gone With the Wind. (at least, the book version, I've never seen the movie but I read the book last spring because of my interest in ethnic stereotypes...and it's FULL of them!) Character sort of equivalents, romance-wise...this is going to be in spoilers since it is:
Momoko=Scarlett
Yosuke=Rhett
Yanagiba=Ashley
Yuri=Melanie (I think that's what her name is)

Why? Well, this is a rather shallow analogy that could sort of apply to a bunch of other similar anime relationships, but here goes. Momoko fights with a dark, roguish guy just like Scarlett does, while pining for a more reserved, intellectual type like Yanagiba-sempai (Ashley). Her quieter friend ends up with said intellectual guy (actually, Melanie wasn't quite Scarlett's friend, but that's beside the point) while Momoko/Scarlett ends up with the rogue. As I was reading my Wedding Peach manga, I just thought of that, which I thought was interesting partially because there IS a character named "Scarlett O'Hara" in it, even though the Scarlett in Wedding Peach doesn't have that sort of role in her story. As a side note, at least in my translated manga there's a little side story about Scarlett/Salvia falling in half-love with some guy who's last name is at least "Butler," though I don't remember his first name off the bat.
Reading all these posts really make me want to see it! I mean, the fact that is a Sailor Moon parody with Mitsuishi Kotono is a great reason to see it. Urggh, so many things to buy so little money.

Fukami Rica is another Sailor Moon seiyuu in Wedding Peach. She's the voice of Aino Minako / Sailor Venus.

I'm not sure who said this, but I just looked it up and Hinagiku is played by someone named Yuko Miyamura. Mitsuishi-san does Potamos, one of the villains.
