Where's my Chobits vol. 8?

Uh...in my opinoin, the anime sucked, and the manga is WAY better. *shrug* Everything about the anime irritated me, whereas I was sucked into the manga from beginning to end.

I enjoyed the anime, but I thought the ending sucked. I enjoyed the manga a lot more, and Hideki wasn't portrayed to be as stupid as he was in the anime. I haven't got to the ending of the manga yet, so I can't voice an opinion on that at this time.

See, I hated thea nime so much I didn't get past the first three episodes. Hideki was just too damn stupid, and Chii went from cute to just plain irritating.

As for the ending...I think they're the same. The ending in the manga kinda sucks, too. I was disappointed.

The rest of it is cool, though.

[spoiler]The reason why I thought the ending to the anime sucked, it's because it was obvious. Was Chii really the one for Hideki? Of course she was, she genuinely loved him. Then the last two episodes were recaps of the entire series. You could skip those two episodes and you wouldn't miss a thing.[/spoiler]

Just what exactly happened at the end of the manga?

That's how I felt about the anime. It was disappointing.

I've read all of the Chobits manga and I've seen all of the anime expcet for the recap episodes and the Chibits special, which I don't care anything about seeing. I'll have to agree that the ending to the manga is a lot better than the ending to the anime. I thought the manga's ending was a lot more detailed, [spoiler]like when they talked about who Hibiya-san's husband was, why Elda and Freya were called "Chobits", and we got to see a tiny bit more of what Chi's program could do than in the anime where the only thing that happened was that the persocoms started acting all weird.[/spoiler]

Chobits is probably going to be a manga i'm going to get into, regarding the price; I guess Tokyopop didn't want the volumes having all different prices?

I read the whole series recently, and I was very disappointed in the ending. [spoiler]Hideki gets to stay with Chii but they can never have sex? (at least, not "traditional" sex. They could always do. . . other things) I think that's awful. I also didn't like how the inventor of the persocoms built Chii to be able to shut all the other persocoms down if she didn't turn out the way he wanted. That's just vindictive.[/spoiler]

But the anime OP theme rocks.
