Im thinking about looking for issues of this manga and I hear it was made into an anime to. Has anyone here watched it? Ive read some of the manga from old issues of Shonen Jump I have and I love the characters the artwork is beautiful as well. Just wanted to know if anyone else is into this series.

I've never seen the anime. I've seen some of the manga though, thanks to old Animerica magazines. I never knew what any of it mean't, of course. But I always thought Maetel(?) was pretty. ^^;

Yep it was definately an anime found some really cool pictures I think I may collect both the manga and the anime if I can. And I agree Neon she is so pretty and mysterious. I don't think many would deny boarding the Galaxy Express if she asked them to ^_^

I haven't read the manga but I have seen some of the anime. From what little I've seen I liked. You can download the first 18 out 113 episodes subtitled here. I also own and like the first 2 movies Galaxy Express 999 & Adieu Galaxy Express 999. You could probably still find copies of the region 3 boxset on e-bay. Both movies come with really well down English subs. If you really like Maetel I highly recommend the prequel series Maetel Legend and its sequel Space Symphony Maetel.

I'd also recommend Arcadia of My Youth. It tells the beginning of Harlock's story (like how he lost his eye). It will be out of print on the 25 so pick it up soon, especially since it's only $10.

Is there a site I can find it or should I just google the title? I dont live around an area where I can pick up anime or manga so I have to buy all my items online.

thank you Kameko ^_^ the entire storyline looks so good I was wondering if I should start up the Harlock saga as well since it ties in. I think im going to thanks for the help.
