Is anyone watching Speed Racer on the Speed Channel?
It just started airing. I was wondering since this anime is indeed a classic

You know, I've actually never seen speed racer since like, 1985 or something, and I don't remember any single bit of it.

I haven't seen it for yours, but I always remeber the bad dubbing ^^

Random/Does anyone remember the Dexter's Labatory spoof of Speed Racer?/Random. ^^ As for the actual topic at hand, I don't really remember alot about Speed Racer, heck, I don't even remember the names of the characters, but I also remember the awful dubbing. >< I remember back when I was just getting into anime. Cartoon Network had a 24 hr marathon of Speed Racer, and during the marathon, they played the Japanese opening theme for Speed Racer, but at the time, I didn't know Speed Racer was anime, so I thought it was the Spanish version or something. ><

My mom used to watch speed racer when I was little. She siad thier was something oddly hypnotic about it. Now she doesn't remember why she liked it so much.

I never saw the dexter's lab spoof of SR, but I did see SNL's "TV Funhouse" spoof "George Clooney". I laughed my ass off.

I loved the Dexter's Labaratory spoof because they had the characters talk really really fast like they did in the Speed Racer dub. ^^

"DeeDee! Where have you been all these years?!" "Right behind you." "...oh. You know I never look there!" lmao. I love that episode.
Topic: Is it the old series or the remake?, cuz recently back Nick was airing a remake that was totally different. It was rather short-lived however. It used to be on right before Invader ZIM. I miss ZIM. *sniffs* My younger sister used to LOVE Speed Racer. I think I hated it. I can't remember.

My dad and I saw the commercial for it, and Dad was like 'Wow!" I explained that it was one of the first animes to be dubbed into English (I believe)

Not to mention, who can forget the catchy theme song?
