Did they keep the valleygirl accent for Caldina in the reprinted version? I managed to rent Vol.5 (I think) of the manga MKR at the library. The accent didn't fit her at all! :x

I didn't like the OVAs nearly as much as the tv series. Maybe partly because it focused on the Mashins' power so much...

I love Magic Knight Rayearth. I have the first season and the 3-episode OVA, but no manga. The ending of the part one (of the anime) had me in tears, it was so unexpected.

I HATE the OVA. It was so monotonous. I agree with LadyFlameSniper about the focus on the Mashin, it was too much. Plus the fact that it had nothing to do with Magic Knights (They are not mentioned at all. Thus the name change to just "Rayearth."). The music was really non-spectacular as well, not to mention I was happier with Cephiro NOT being in Tokyo :x.

*cocks head* are we reading the same MKR? Cuz I thought they were fairly continuous...
[spoiler]at the end of the first, the Magic Knights destroyed Emeraude, and returned to Tokyo, and were very sad. At the beginning of the second, they go back to fix things. Right?[/spoiler]

Well, I always thought people disliked the second season...for me, the first season was pretty simple. It's just like the first season of Sailormoon, everything was simple and had a good ending.

I know. well thats right, the second season is quite different tahn the first, it wasnt very good
