They're insults against anime characters. Jeff has a pretty dark sense of humor, and he was probably just joking. And even if he wasn't, again, it's against an animated character, not real people. Let's not overreact.

Yeah, Tiff hit the nail on the head. I didn't really think anyone would take it seriously. I mean we make fun of Miaka for nearly getting raped every five minutes, but clearly rape isn't a real joke.

I just hate Misao, and her stupid fat-angst. I do see why it could be offensive though, like if I said zomg Anthy Himemiya is a pakibird! I'll try to be more careful >.>

She's the reason I don't watch FY hardly ever. I love almost everyone else, but.... guuuuuuuh >_<

Besides Miaka,

Sailor Mercury - BSSM: My least favorite anime character period. Yeah, yeah, I know. Honestly, I can't even put into words why I hate her so much, but she almost represents nearly everything I hate in character. Supposedly a "genious" yet constantly states the obvious, stupid attacks (soap bubbles are uber powerful omgz!), boring personality, huge fanbase in Japan for who-knows-why, and that whole "perfect" thing. I know the same could be said about Michiru as far as the perfect-ness, but I actually find her a lot more interesting, especially because of the stuff she says to Haruka. (^_~) (And Michiru's attacks actually, you know... DO SOMETHING. -_-)

Fuu - Magic Knight Rayearth - She annoys me for many of the same reasons Ami does, the whole stating the obvious thing, perfectness, etc. They have a pretty similar personality, but Fuu's slightly more tolerable and is pretty good in battle unlike Ami. -_-

Mamoru - BSSM (ANIME ver) - *breaks up with Usagi because of OMGADREAM and doesn't tell her why* *treats her like crap* *gets back together with her* *treats her badly again* *breaks up with her again* *runs away* *comes back* *runs away again* .... etc. >_>;;;

Touga - Utena - He's like Akio, only a completely NOT interesting version.

Primera - Magic Knight Rayearth - *RIPS HER WINGS OFF AND THROWS INTO A BLENDER*

Satoshi - Pokemon - I'm one of the most annoying main protagonists of all time, woohoo! Watch me for 300 episodes, please! v_v He's like what I can imagine having the world's worst little brother would be like.

...I'm sure I forgot many that I'll add to this list eventually. I can't think of a lot of series atm.

Oh yeah, now that you've mentioned Utena (and I've got into it recently), I can understand if you don't like Touga.
Oh I can't stand Akio either. But maybe I'll change my opinion because I'm still missing the last two DVDs. But JUST maybe ^^°

Another character I don't like AS much as others: Ryoma Echizen from Prince of Tennis. He might be the most boring character from this series. ^^ But I don't have any major problem with him, so whatever.

Akio is pretty dang hateable too, but he gets interesting. Very interesting. He becomes one of those love-to-hate characters for me.

I couldn't even enjoy FY becuase of it. Never mind that my friends in high school forced me to watch the ENTIRE SEASON dubbed...IN ONE. NIGHT. *DIES*

While Ami is one of my favorites, I can definitely see why people would dislike her. I can see both sides of that. *nods*

*Lynn Minmei (the Robotech incarnation; the Macross incantation is spelled Minmay) - In Macross, she was great, but in Robotech, her "singing" was awful. DYN: It was rumored that Rebecca Forstadt sang her songs drunk!

*Ryoko (The Ryoko Show, I mean Tenchi Universe version): I REALLY don't hate her, but the producers gave her the Fonzie / Urkel treatment (a la Happy Days and Family Matters, respectively), that I refer to TU as "The Ryoko Show".

*Mihoshi (The Ryoko Show version): She went from a competent detective (despite her clumsiness) in the OAV series to an intolerable ditz.

UPDATE: I updated my message to specify ONLY the Tenchi Universe version for the my latter two listings (Ryoko and Mihoshi); I don't have a problem with the other incantations!

BSSM: that villien in season 2... the one who was in love with prince damond (sp?) oh my gosh what was her name...! the one with the REALLY annoying laugh. everytime she laughed, i felt like killing myself. WHAT WAS HER NAME DAMMIT! ugh i need to rewatch R so badly. oh yeah and luna i the dub. i adore luna in the original, but her voice in the dub gives me hives.

Fruits Basket: i absolutly cannot stomach akito, in both the anime and manga. there are too many reasons to list.
