I have a borderline obsession with anime voices. ^^; What are your favorite and least favorite anime voices, dubbed and Japanese? You can list voice actors if you want to. Also, if you like a character's dubbed and Japanese voices, but they ended up getting their name changed, you can put down something like Mamoru/Darien.

Oohoo, I was about to make a topic like this! Here we go:

Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon: All the Japanese ones, I mean everyone

"Sailor Moon": Terri Hawkes (2nd "Serena"), Tracey Moore (1st "Serena"), "Raye," "Lita," "Mina," "Amy" (1st only, dammit), "Michelle," Hotaru (She just sounded so nice), and "Trista" (Her name, ugh, her voice, except for "PLUUUUUTTTTOOO DEEEAAAAAADLLLLY SCRRRREEEEAAAAAAMMM," yay)

InuYasha: All these are dub: InuYasha (Richard Ian Cox, he has my first name for his middle name), Kagome (Moneca Stori, she's good, and plus she pronounced her name right), Sango, Miroku, Kaede (if only it weren't for that pirate crap), Kanna, Kagura, and Naraku.

Sailor Moon: Minako/Venus (this was confirmed by hearing her sing in "Moon Revenge"), Usagi/Moon, and Zoisite.

Dragonball: Goku, Vegeta

Cowboy Bebop: Whole Cast, Spike (English)

Random: Ken, Chun-li from Street Fighter, Anakaris (sp) from Darkstalkers/MvC2 (something cool about "weird"-sounding characters like this.

Least Favorite: Megumi Hayashibara - Odd? Yes. I don't know what it is about her; I love her roles in Slayers and Bebop, but something about how prolific she is...I know that shouldn't affect what I think about her, but it does ><;

Favorites: (these are all from Sailor Moon) Amy (CWI), Serena (CWI), Luna (NA dub and original), Chibi-Usa, Yaten

Least Favorites: None, except Taiki's voice sounds weird when she's screaming out her transformation or attack...it sounds kind of awkward, like her voice would be better suited for being calm, but her shouting sounds like she's straining. It's more noticeable in her transformation phrase calls than in her attack calls, too. This may be because the attack phrase is said during battle, while the transformation is said more towards the beginning, so maybe when she calls out "Star Gentle Uterus" she's more used to being in that mode. Of course, this probably isn't a very good theory, since all three times that Taiki's transformation is shown, the battle of the episode has started already. (episodes 177, 188, and 195)

Now this reminds me of something:

This doesn't exactly count as anime, but since Tiny Toons was dubbed in Japan.... Hayashibara Megumi does the voice of Lil' Sneezer!

I didn't hear him, but I assume he sounds just as adorable as he did in the English version. ^^

I thought of another character voice that goes up in my favorites. Shampoo's dub voice (Ranma 1/2). I think I have a thing for characters with accents...

Fushigi Yuugi- Miaka after a few episodes, Tasuki, Tamahome, Hotohori, the twins, Yui
BSSM- Usagi, Rei, Haruka, Michiru, Setsuna, Galaxia (all Japanese). Hell everyone except Taiki and maybe a few others

I love Mamoru-Darien's second 2nd English voice by Toby Proctor, it is my favorite English voice ever. I also love his Japanese voice. His 2nd English voice is my favorite voice.

I love Mamoru's Japanese voice and Darien's 2nd English voice the most.

I love Usagi's Japanese voice and I love Serena's 1st first and 2nd second English voices. They are so wonderfully done and her Japanese voices are both fantastic.

Favorites: (all Japanese)

1. Cardcaptor Sakura - All. They are all so perfect and fit their characters so well. There isn't one I don't like.
2. Sailor Moon- Usagi, Makoto, Haruka, Michiru, Luna, and Seiya. I like pretty much all the voices (Mamoru's I'm not crazy about, though) but these stand out to me as the best.
3. Kare Kano-Tsubasa The other voices are good, I guess, but I never really paid attention to them. I love how Tsubasa's voice is so low and contrasts with her little cute self.

Least favorites (all dub)

1. Cardcaptor Sakura-ALL. Sakura was tougher and Madison was a snobby Valley Girl. Kero did not sound like a cute plush toy. Julian sounded like a nerd and Yue's voice was totally different.
2. Sailor Moon- Serena(both, but Cloverway worse), Amy(Cloverway), Amara, Michelle, Trista, Hotaru, Luna, and Molly. None of the voices were that great, but these were especially bad. I couldn't even stand to listen to Serena and Amy's Cloverway voices. They were really harsh on the ears. Amara didn't sound enough like a guy, Michelle had the same voice as Serena's mom, Trista sounded like a Valley Girl, Hotaru didn't sound like a child, Luna was an old British Lady, and Molly was from New Jersey or something.
3. His and Her Circumstances- Yukino, Arima. I only watched the first episode dubbed and then couldn't take it. Yukino's voice was annoying and Arima didn't sound like a high schooler.
