Full Metal Alchemist, because it looked like a dumb boy anime about robots  It's one of my favorites now.

And Death Note. The way my friend described it, it was about some crazy person killing people and an emo detective. Not my kind of anime at all. But she kept bugging me about it, so I watched an episode to shut her up, and I fell in love immediantly. Now it's the only anime I like as much as Sailor Moon (which is pretty funny, since they're complete opposites).

I thought I'd never like Shin-Chan. I'd seen bits and pieces of it before on Adult Swim, and thought it was really stupid. But I actually sat down to watch a full episode of it, the other night, and now it's definetly one of my favorite animes. It's still stupid, but I'm busting out in laughter everytime I watch it now.

Bleach. I'd seen videos of this everywhere on youtube but thought nothing of it until I decided to watch an episode one night. I thought it was going to be one of those really serious animes with no humour but i enjoyed it and found it funny.

Eyeshield 21. I used to dispise football, but now I adore it. I'm sad that my football unit in gym is over with.

I thought I would hate 'The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya' I thought it was going to be super lovey dovey. Same with 'Ouran Highschool Host Club'

Kanon: My brother discovered this one and I spotted him watching the first episode (Toei version) on YouTube, it didn't seem like my sort of thing at frist. Then I looked it up on Wiki (I always do) and found the phrase 'supernatural undertones' in there somewhere, so I thought "ok this could be interesting", then one day I went and watched the first five episodes and became hooked, I finished it earlier this week.

Which version did you watch? Toei or KyoAni? The KyoAni version is infinitely better than Toei's version.
You seem like the kind of person who'll lie.
However... this sword doesn't lie.

I was watching the KyoAni version, though when my brother first found it he was watching the Toei version (he's now watching the KyoAni version).

I just started watching the Trinity Blood series thanks to a friend and I'll admit I put off watching it cause im like "Ugh more vampires?" I like the mysticism of undead stories but vampires have been done redone and done to death so I was leary but so far im liking it.
"Have you been half asleep? And have youve heard voices?
I hear them calling my name."
Is this the sweet sound, that calls the young sailors?
The voice maybe one in the same.
Ive heard it too many times to ignore it,
its something that I sposed to be..
Someday we''''ll find it, the rainbow connection
The lover, the dreamer, and me..."

I thought I would hate Bleach, only because it looked like a samurai version of Naruto. And I find Naruto extremely boring (granted, I have watched a grand total of two episodes of Naruto, which may have something to do with it). Then my sis (who is a huge 'narutard') randomly decided to try it, and made me watch it with her. I am SO glad she did!

Boy was I wrong! It has a great plot, and lots of humor, and even the filler eps are pretty good. Plus, it has Rukia, one of my fav anime characters xD. Bleach has become my all-time fave anime.

Dragonball Z. I started to watch it just so I could mock it. Nowadays, take a quick peek in my room, and you'll find four uncut DBZ DVD's sitting on my VHS/DVD shelf. ^^;

The ironic thing, for me, it was Sailor Moon. The first episode I ever saw was from the first season, and I saw it dubbed one morning while I was home sick from school (this was about 1994), and I absolutely hated it. Well, flash forward about five years, I had a broken jaw, couldn't do anything, so I was watching CN waiting for DBZ, when on comes Sailor Moon. I can't say I fell in love with it the first few times, but by the end of the week, I wanted to know what happened, and by the end of the season, I was hooked, and couldn't wait to see more. A few years later, I'm in the army, with money to spare, so I'm buying every season I can (I now own all five) with subs.

Way back when I had On digital I had cartoon network on and I saw an advert for DBZ. At first I said to my mum "What the heck? this looks terrible" then a few weeks later she came home and said to me "I thought you didin't like this?" and I said "I do now", I was sat in front of the tv watching it

Lucky*Star: It just looked like a randon schoolgirl anime, but it's SO funny.

Tengan Toppan Gurren Lagann: I saw an episode summary on this show on a website. I decided I wouldn't watch it. Then i found myself PMing with Krisrix from SMA and she told me to watch it. I love it.
Sailor Jupiter Rules!
