Ayashi no Ceres (possible spoilers!)
For the anime, I was wondering why all the other Tennyo descendants that Aya meets can control their Tennyo forms? But Aya doesn't remember anything about Ceres?
I love Ceres *_*
and think of it this way: Ceres is PISSED. She's out of control becuase of her rage. The other descendents don't have the same problem. Ceres was wronged heavily in the past, and so Aya can't control her.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

No. Only Ceres. That's Ceres's story.Sakuya wrote:Did all the Tennyo lose their robes? Why would they need to reincarnate themselves into their descendants? Also, whose hand is it from episode 1?
Offtopic: Gah! I just recognized the SMU banner! Thanks so much for putting it up!
And I don't know. I'd have to re-watch it.
You're welcome.
o_O; shouldn't you have gathered that if you finished it? As far as I can tell, yes.
Sakuya wrote:I finished it! I have more questions now. Did Ceres separate from Aya in the end?
she didn't "get stuck", she was reborn that way. It's not like she decided to be there.

Sakuya wrote:
Well, it was all a bit confusing. Why didn't Ceres separate from Aya earlier so she could search for the robe herself instead of getting stuck in Aya?
Is it just me or is the "Ultimate Ceres" really really weird looking?

I love Ayashi No Ceres! I've only read three of the mangas, however. Is that all there is? I hope not! I want to read more!!
I read somewhere that the hand in the beginning was of the fisherman who stole Ceres celestial robes. That Ceres woke up violently because she saw the hand, and Aki started suffering because the fisherman was awakening in him, and the reason all those cuts opened was because they were wounds caused by Ceres in the previous life.
I've only seen the first three episodes. The DVDs are rather expensive (like most of them), so I haven't really had any extra money to spend on it. I like the show so far but it's missing something... this looks like it could change by episode 4 considering the preview. I think the music is kind of blah, and the general mood is kind of... depressing. Q-san is really funny, Yuhi is hot, and Toya is annoying.
I love Yuhi, Ceres, Aya, and Alexander (the gay-ish scientist guy...he's so cute, and a lot of times, you can tell he's not happy about helping with the project).
Toya gets on my nerves, as does Aki.

My favourite characters are Q-chan, Ceres, Yuhi, and Suzumi (I think that's her name. She's Yuhi's sister-in-law.) I love Q-chan because she's hilarious. (Yuhi: Who am I? Son Goku? *walks outside* What the hell is that? Q-chan: Nyoibo.) She's sooo funny, especially when she drives, er, AIMS the car. I love Ceres and Suzumi because they both have such powerful personalities. They're very strong and independent, and that's my favourite kind of character. And I love Yuhi because he's cool. I can't stand Toya! He gets on my nerves soooooooo bad! And everyone in the Mikage family except Aya bugs me. I was rooting for Ceres the whole time. "Yeah! Kill them all!"

I'd like to bring back this topic to see if their are any other ANC fans. Anyway, Ayashi no Ceres is a wonderful series. I always get so into the manga that I finish each volume and am so excited, wondering what will happen next. Anyway, the characters rock. Aya rocks. Tooya rocks. Yuuhi rocks. ANC is a very fantastic series that is underrated.

No, it's not. It's hailed as probably one of the most popular series. I know a ton of people who love it, and Animerica even had a whole issue dedicated to it. Watasi Yuu is incredibly popular.Sailor Moon wrote: ANC ios a very fantastic series that is underrated.

Not underrated so much as underEXPOSED, I would think. Some of Watasi's other works - most notably Fushigi Yuugi - are a bit more popular, and of course if it's not dubbed and thrust into prime-time TV then it won't gain the notoriety that other, more famous shows (at least in the US) get.
I have to agree with the posters here, however; what little I have read and seen of it is quite good, and should more money come my way sometime, I'd love to read more.

I'd agree with Starscream here. ANC is probably Yuu Watase's second most popular work after Fushigi Yuugi; while some of her other manga has been released Stateside (I've seen Alice 19th and Imadoki! around), neither of those has the following FY or ANC does.
That said, I want more. *.* I have the first two volumes of the manga, and I'm very interested in the rest.
