I watched the first episode last night, and it was SO ADORABLE.

... but, um, wtf is up with Bubbles' voice? o_O;

I love it!

As with all things old new things can improve upon them. I think Powerpuff Girls Z is very different from the original and from now on I'll treat them as two different shows.

I really liked that they are older in this version and that they have different names when they are civilians. I always thought it'd be weird for people to call you "Bubbles" or "Buttercup" as your name...

-The professor has a son... that's kinda weird but I'll play.

-Mojo looks awesome, very reminiscent of the original but very unique also.

-The humor is very Japanese which is of course to be expected but I do wish they would have some less corny jokes in this anime.

I think Peaches (or is it Peach? It's been a while since I saw the first episode ^^;) is adorable! <3 I love how this isn't just Powerpuff Girls -- Anime Style, it's Powerpuff Girls Z!

Buttercup's so awesome here. xD And she really hates that skirt. It's so funny right after she transforms.

Best new anime. Ever. Almost as good as BSSM and TMM, except it lacks real storylines and the animation is god awful sometimes. But it's so fresh and fun, I love it.

I love, love, love the designs on thier new outfits/fukus/whatever we're calling them! It's like a cross between the normal magical girl fuku and a pokemon trainer outfit. Gives them lots of spunk, I think. Especially those cool 90's-style jackets.

You people were refreshingly open minded about this. This is one of the few discussions I've seen where people didn't recoil at the idea of something new. It's especially a good thing since I really like Powerpuff Girls Z; Momoko's definitely my favorite character, and I think I've grown to prefer most of the Z characters over their versions from the original series. I hope the series hasn't been cancelled yet since 52 episodes is way too short, although I'm expecting it has since PPGZ did so poorly in the ratings.

Oh dear I hope I won't appear closed-minded!
Well, I am actually making my way thru watching the Powerpuff Girls - at Season 5, I think it's picked up a bit again quality wise in terms of humour in some places.

I've seen the first 5 of PPG Z - I DO like it, but - not sure about Bubbles being SO girly (and I adore Bubbles), the wanting to be a superheroine mainly for the cute dress? Also, I'm not finding it as funny as PPG. However, it does hark to Sailor Moon esp the constant quest to get food inside while battling bad guys! There also seems to be a focus on Blossom (like Usagi) but I could find this changes. Maybe it's cos I got used to it on PPG and I know straightaway it's deliberate here but the avoiding Miss Bellum's face seems more blatant here.

Something that seemed odd - when with the Mayor at others at the construction site the Mayor called Peaches who then barked out the transformation. Surely the girls can do so by themselves?

It's great fun though and I am looking forward to more. Already spotted Princess in class so be interesting to see who else pops up.

I have a PPG question but I should look for a thread on that!
