Oh, and InuYasha's cosplayed way too damn much. There's my two cents.
I often wondered what the point was as well. All I get from it is some annoying girl who can't make up her mind as to whether she likes demon-dog-boy or not, and the annoying demon-dog-boy who wants some ancient artifact and probably has about 10 different women who want him, but he's faced with the huge problem of picking one.
InuYasha does not have ten different women who want him, from what I've seen. And he isn't "picking" anyone. And I don't think Kagome couldn't make up her mind either. I never noticed her agonizing over "Do I love Inuyasha? Or do I not? AAAH!" ever. It took a while before she did anything like that, and then the answer was evident.
I just wonder where they're going with all these episodes. I think they're at 180+ now. What new plots can they possibly be conjuring.

I said probably, and "all I get from it", meaning that from what I've seen, that's what it looks like. Probably doesn't mean "for sure".

Also, you just contradicted yourself. You said "I don't think Kagome ever couldn't make up her mind", then you turned right around and said "it took while before she did anything like that", which tells me she DID. From the episodes I've seen, her actions indicate she doesn't know what the hell she wants. One minute she's screaming at him, the next she's worried about him. I can't stand that.

I used to like Inu-Yasha, but seeing it rerun to death for two straight months ruined it for me. I also dislike Inu-Yasha and Kagome's characters. Their on-again off-again closet romance annoys me. I do ,however, think Sesshomaru, Miroku, Sango, and Kikyo( even if she's a loon) are awesome, and don't deserve to be in the same anime as the fore-mentioned losers.

The on-and-off relationship between Kagome and Inuyasha was already done with Ranma 1/2's Ranma and Akane...and it annoys me (as well as several others on the 'Net from the comments I've heard) that Takahashi Rumiko didn't put any effort into making her characters in Inuyasha stand out from her other works. One of the only original main characters in the entire series of Inuyasha is Sesshomaru..everyone else can be traced back from her older works, most noticeably Fire Tripper (who's premise is almost exactly like Inuyasha), Ranma 1/2, and Maison Ikkoku.

I actually noticed my own stupidity later, but didn't edit it. Her actions are rather realistic actually. She loves InuYasha, but he gets on her nerves sometimes, big time. I understand this not-really-so-odd relationship.

*shrug* I understand it as well, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. It's irritating. It's also incredibly overdone, especially on Rumiko Takahashi's part.

I watched an episode of this show on cartoon network..andI wanted to murder Kagome by the end. Her shrill voice, her constant interference..gods, she as bad as akane, if not worse. *Shudder*

It IS kind of irritating. I have sat by, watched, and taped 55 episodes, and now I am like "KISS EACH OTHER ALREADY, YOU STUPID IDIOTS!" I'm going to end up finding a way to stick my hands through the screen and shove their lips toward each other... but then I'd probably miss and cause InuYasha to kiss Kagome somewhere else, like her [Innuendo deleted by the automatic sensor of Sailor X's prissy .00000000001% of self] Also, Kagome's interference, though often meant well, may get her killed someday. Oh wait... she's the main character. She will never die. Maybe Kikyo will. Hopefully.
also note that the pronounciation of Kagome's name is getting very bad. Before, it was usually somewhere near correct, but now it is ridiculous. "Kawh-gaw-meh" is very much incorrect, especially when shouted. The last syllable now sounds like sheep baaing.

Yes, thank you. I'm glad someone mentioned the terribile pronounciation. I mean, come on, these are real names for people. I'm sure the administrators, Taff, Din, and Boob wouldn't appriciate it if we said their names wrong.

I could only handle the first episode. It just didn't appeal to me. I could tell right away that the story would get repetitive. To bad, because it looks like a really good dub.

This question must be asked..what is Sango's personality? I like her because of her weapon, but what purpose does she serve? Her backstory is all she has. Other than being an overly-dedicated sister, she seems pretty bland and only there to balance out the testosterone in the group. May I also state that Shippou is the most superfluous character ever made? At least Sango is a competent fighter...all Shippou does is make some dumb comment and scream when he's in danger.

I'm gradually getting into Inu yasha. I watch it on TV because it's free, and in no way will I buy the DVDs of something so long in series making. And the dub isn't HORRIBLE, I've seen plenty worse. But it isn't the greatest. I think it is decent enough for me to watch.

And I guess I'm the only one for "yay" for repeats? I have barely seen the middle area of episodes, so I can actually catch up.

Only recently I learned Shippo's a boy O_O

I find Sango to be the most strong-willed member of the group, which is why she's my favorite character. And she kicks serious ass.

I completely agree with you about Shippo though. There was one episode where InuYasha is ripping on Myoga for always running away during a fight and Shippo joined in, and I just couldn't help thinking what does Shippo do? I guess his role is to be the cute mascot type character, and once Kirara was introduced (who's both cute and good in a fight) he became completely useless.

Oh and please don't mistake me for a Shippo fan from my handle. I believe there was a thread a while back about the significance of our screenname, but basically I've been using the handle Fox our some variation of that online for years now going back to being a huge fan of The X-Files.

InuYasha IS a really good dub. Some of the name prounounciations are horrible, but it is good in all other aspects.
I like Sango. It does kinda seem that she has no personality, but with how obvious it is that she will "hook up" with Miroku just keeps me going.
And Shippo. In a recently aired episode they tried to show that he does have some power, and can use it well, and he also serves the purpose of being the commentator of the insane relationship of Kagome and InuYasha, as well as Sango and Miroku. Other than that, I suppose, he does nothing else.

i wouldn't say ALL aspects... voices...

i guess shippou's purpose is to be the comic relief. he's not very funny himself, but hey, it sure is funny to see him get his ass kicked!

i could list off all the voices that i think are god aweful... and i think i will.

kagome: no need to mention why.

inuyasha: sounds like the president of the chess club or something.

shippou: actually a well picked voice, simply a bad actress.

jaken: what were they smokin' when they cast this guy?

kagura, kikyo, sango: all sound way too old, and lack emotion.

kouga: sounds like a freakin' leather jacket biker.

kaede: not so much the voice, just the annoying fact that she speaks in that medival way (she's the ONLY one who does that for god sakes!!) not to mention, she doesn't even do it properly, all she says is "ye".

just about any bit character sounds too high-pitched and nerdy.

the only voices i think are half decent are miroku, naraku, kanna, and of course myouga--JOKE!!
this is just my opinion, of course you're entitled to your own.
