I continue to laugh, because the reaction this bit of news has gotten is hilarious...
"Tell my tale to those who ask... tell it truthfully, the ill deeds along with the good, and let me be judged accordingly. The rest... is silence..." last words of Dinobot, "Code of Hero"
"Is that a poisonous elephant in your pocket or are you happy to see me?" ~another forum
"Monster! I''''m going to collide with you indefinitely as my limbs flail wildly about!" ~NPC, Dragon Warrior VII
"I bet you were thinking how hot it would be to see Tsunade with her gates wide open, inviting you..." ~DuneMan
"To use gaming terms, Tyrannosaurus Rex was a camper--- and he pwned his prey!" ~BaronVonAwesome
"I prefer to beat my opponents the old-fashioned way: brutally!" ~Dinobot

Isn't Shopro the same company that released Megaman: NT Warrior in the U.S.? Does this mean Naruto will still be edited or will it be released uncut?

Meh. As long as they do a decent job, I'll be happy.

*shrug* I've watched, like...the first 60 or so episodes on burned CDs so far. I'll probably just continue to watch them that way, as my friends are downloading the rest.

I hope they do a good job, but meh...if they don't, I have my way of watching them.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

I've never seen Naruto, I'm actually quite glad it got licensed. Hopefully I will be able to watch it now, I've always thought Ninjas were cool (it is ninjas in Naruto, right?) Though I must admit I've been having a guilty pleasure watching lots of little Naruto fans in other forums self-distruct. Terrible, I know, but it's so funny!

And to add on to this wonderful news, Cartoon Network made a lot of annoumcements on new shows, new episodes of current shows, when all will premiere, etc. Just one day after ShoPro/Viz made public their acquisition of all rights to Naruto in North and Latin Americas, Cartoon network announces that the show will air on Toonami starting sometime in Q3 of this year. This show is a perfect fit for Toonami, and will be a great successor to the Dragon Ball franchise in the block. I was excited to hear the news of the license yesterday, and now even moreso to hear about it being added to the Toonami lineup. ^_^
