Kodomo No Omocha / Kodocha!

Post by yoshmaster5 » Sun Oct 26, 2003 8:02 pm

The topic completly devoted to... KODOMO NO OMOCHA!

My personal favorite anime. gotta love comedy/romance. some of the fillers in this anime are just SO HYSTARICAL!!

Babbit just adds to the insanity. 8)

anyone have any thoughts on this anime/manga?

I wanna see the anime some day! please let it be released.... *prays* I love the manga soooo much. Sana is funny. you gotta love how she reacts to things. like when she discovered that Akito was her boyfriend and she started acting way too lovestruck and burnt food and couldn't knit or anything. Kept saying "Sweaters are meant to be bought. Cookies are meant to be bought." I can't wait for the last volume. I want to know if they get to be together in the end.

The other thing I love is that their not afraid to tackle any serious issues. The serious life threatening and really touching moments are what keep me reading the most. Sana and Akito are just the most devoted pair.

I love Kodocha! I only have two volumes of it, but so far, it's funny! I loved it when
Hayama kissed Sana and the next day she made a Hayama Shield to protect her from him, but then she couldn't go to the bathroom!
I also like it when she hits people on the head (mainly Hayama) with her platic toy hammer.

I'll be there for you...

even though Hayama is
going out with Fuka
...I still think that he will be with Sana-chan in the end.

I wish I could find the manga... and see the rest of the anime. I've only seen:

1-34 & 52-64

Sana learning about Hayama is so tragic... it destroys her... the hammer is hystarical. when Mama goes and starts whacking Sana on the head with it is funny... and how Sensei torchers Onda... driving around in the little car thing and then she turns up next to Sana and there is a human weight doll in the car.
Sana does end up with Hayama in the end. Fuka gets together with her long time crush back in Osaka, her hometown.
I'm getting all 10 volumes of the Manga for Christmas. :D I'm currently looking for episodes to download. So far, my search for episodes hasn't been good. :x

That is Yuu and Miki from Marmalade Boy in Usagi04's avatar, not Sana and Hayama.

They do look alike. I remember a website that compared the two, but I forgot what it was called. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

gomen about bringing up a VERY old topic.

One of the best scenes in this anime is in episode 6 when Sana-chan pretends to be Hayama's mom. and his reaction to that memory in episode 17
When he finds out that Sana dosen't know who her real mother is at the time.
It looks like more people have seen this anime than I thought, from new posts so... just bringing this topic back from the dead.

BTW, does anyone know where to find subbed episodes of this anime?

I have a bunch of Kodocha fansubs. I forgot where I got them though. I saw the anime before the manga, I remember. Kodocha is a funs eries that's easy to relate to that's both serious and playful at the same time. It's quite charming.

amen to that. it will be extremely serious, and then something happens that will make you crack up... like when:
Like when Sana and Hayama are disscussing Tyoushi (I can't spell his name) and his father, and it's a sad and touching moment... and then Hayama puts his hand on Sana's breast. thus, comes one of the funniest Kodocha scenes in history... Sana complaining how she never would get a husband, and then relaxes because he didn't fondle her breast... and she is going on about protecting herself, and hayama dosen't care at all... got off topic...
I just hope FUNi dosen't maim this anime...

My math class is a lot like Sana's class in the first few episodes. It's crazy. Maybe even crazier. In fact, when I was talking about the beginning of the show, and someone from my math class thought I was talking about our math period class. It's that similar. My other class aren't like that, but once it's the end fo the day, it's tiem for the crazy math class which is crazier then Sana's class in the first few episodes. Heh, just thought I'd mention the parrells.

I found my old fansubber who has lots of series subbed, including all SM episodes subbed, and Kodacha episodes subbed, and more. I'm not gonna put the URL up on the public boards, but if you PM me I'll give you the URL.

Looks like Funimation has a temporary date set up for the first DVD of Kodomo no Omomcha. From what it looks like now, we'll finally see some Kodocha goodness starting June 26, 2005.

Anyone seen or read it?.

It starts off with this girl name Sana Kurata, and everyday she come sinto class at school it's like a riot, namely because the boy's, and their Leader, Akito Hayama, tells them to disrupt the class so the students can't learn and the teacher runs out crying.

That's only what happens in the first 4 episodes, though, it gets more serious as it progresses, but still manages to be extremely funny at the same time xD;.

The manga is Licenced by Tokyopop while the anime is Licenced by Funimation, The anime is directed by the director of Fruits Baskets, which seems to share some of the same kind of characters.

However, the anime is long (102 episodes!) but if you guys can watch something as long as Sailor Moon, I'm sure you can watch something shorter xD;.
