Hun, Windows Movie Maker can't do that.
You have to have a completely seperate DVD burning software. Movie Maker is purely for uploading clips ALREADY on your computer (or from a data cd), and making a video with them.

I don't generally like Anime Music Videos, mainly because I don't like music videos to begin with ^^;; However, there are two that come to mind which I enjoyed:
One starred "My Neighbor Totoro", and had some weird, punk/metal music going on. I can't remember the song, but the video ended up very highly amusing.
The other was "Believe", from the "Lost Boys" soundtrack, done to various clips of the entire Sailor Moon series. Very good, not only because of the great shots used throughout, but the song is incredible.
Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing/making a video to Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocceli singing Con Te Partiró ("Time To Say Goodbye"), done against a montage of Cowboy Bebop. It would be spoiler-ama, but the song really fits a lot of scenes in that show.

Okay, darn. Is there any program I can use to upload clips from a DVD onto my computer?
To stay on topic some of my favorite videos are:
"Its My life" by Bon Jovi to Evangelion
"Day After Today" from the Goofy Movie to Evangelion
"Can't Fight the Moonlight" by Leann Rimes to SailorMoon
"Christmas at Ground Zero" by Weird Al to Big O

If your DvD player is built into your computer or you have an External DvD player connected through the USB, I have 2 programs that can help. I can send you the files privately if you PM me.

I want to make an anime music video. It would be Inuyasha and it would be to the song "Shadow on the Sun" by Audioslave. EVERY time I listen to that song I close my eyes and I can "see," in my head, which scenes would "go" with which lyrics. But I don't know how to do it. I've got many Inuyasha episodes on my computer (some burned onto CDs, but they'll still work--I tried), and I have Windows Movie Maker, and I have the CD that the song is on but no MP3 ripping software so I'd probably have to download it from Kazaa or something. Is there any website I can go to that has like a tutorial or something for making AMVs?

No Kazaa. Kazaa is evil now. Boo. I have something called, "Simple Mp3 maker". It rips from CD to WAV or MP3. It's very simple to use. I can send it to you if you'd like.
And making an AMV on Windows Movie Maker is very simple. My tip is to make a sample/BS music video until you get the hang of it. Then make a "for real" music video. It's how I learned to do it.
Out of curiostiy, what Version of WMM do you have?

I think that's the original WMM version. If you have XP, you can get WMM 2.0 [the upgrade] from microsoft.com. It give you more features and effects.
I have 2.0, but I have to get all of episodes and chapters from my dvds all over again. ;_; we reformatted recently and I lost ALL of my videos.

T_T; if it WORKS for you. 2.0 has been a pain in the ass for me...whenever I try to use the special effects, or even transition, it closes. no warning..it just closes. I have to make my videos on my boyfriend's computer now, with the original version of WMM....

I've started that Inuyasha/Audioslave AMV that I said I was going to do. I've got 48 seconds of it so far, but I have a "minor-little-detail" question: How do I delete the sound of the actual anime? It's gonna sound funny if Kikyo and Inuyasha's audio (it's going to be mostly Kikyo/Inu footage by the way, despite the fact--or maybe because of the fact--that I hate Kikyo) is trying to contend with Chris Cornell and co.

Are you using moviemaker?
If so, here's how:
Play the music you're planning on using. DO NOT play the video stuff, ONLY the music audio. While playing it, there's a little button near the bottom where all the controls are..it looks like a sliding equalizer. It's called "set audio levels". Click on that. It'll show your audio from the video, and music audio. Slide it all the way to the right, to "music audio", while the music is playing. After doing that (sometimes you have to do it one or two times), it'll only play the music you chose while playing the entire video.

Have any of you seen the music video done to the song "Whisper" by Evanescence w/ clips from the final Sailor Moon battle?
