UFO Princess Warakyure is a very funny, yet kind of strange anime, about this alien princess named Warakyure who crash-lands her spaceship on top of the bathhouse of the oridnary teenage boy, Kazuko. Warakyure then gives half of her soul to Kazuko, which causes her to shrink down into chibi-size, and also reduces the strength of her powers. In order to return to her true form, and her true powers, Warakyure must unite her soul again by kissing Kazuko, which enables her to transform into her adult-self. As her adult-self, Warakyure is able to use her powers to defend herself, and Kazuko from any alien trouble that comes her way. I've only seen the first six episodes, but it has been a pretty enjoyable anime so far. The opening theme song and the insert song used in episode one (I forgot the name of these two songs) are exteremly catchy. My favorite character in this series is definetly Hydra. I don't know why she's my favorite; she just is. ^^ My least favorite character would have to be that cat girl maid who turned all those girls in the city into cat girls. I thought she was annoying, but then again, most anime cat girls annoy me.
I was a little surprised that ADV licensed this series, since it's kind of a strange anime to me, but then again, if they can release Digi Charat and Azumanga Daioh, then they can release just about anything. It looks like I'll have to buy the DVDs in order to see the rest of the series, since it's licensed now, and ADV is very strict about downloading their licensed anime. Does anyone know when exactly UFO Princess Warakyure is being released on DVD in the U.S., or if it's already available now? What're your thoughts about this anime? And have ADV made any plans to license UFO Princess Warakyure December Nocturne?

I've seen it called both. The fansubs I have call it UFO Princess Warakyure, but I've also seen it listed as UFO Princess Valkyrie.
