The Little Mermaid- 1975 Toei Animation

Has anyone ever seen this movie? It was my first anime and I still have the video.

I love the soundtrack, and like the movie much better than Disney's.

I've never seen it, and never heard of it until I heard you talk about it. What is it about? Is it anything like that Disney movie I watched as a kid?

No, it's not like Disney's. It's more close to the story, and is more serious. [spoiler]Marina (Mermaid) dies at the end, while Ariel gets her man[/spoiler].

TIFF ADMIN EDIT: Umino, please put spoilers around things such as that. You ruined the movie for me by putting what you put...I was really interested, but disappointed that you blurted out the ending like that.
