Actually, the only anime I can think of that contains a rape is Urotsukidoji (and that was deliberately made to sicken). Although I did once read a fanfic where Minako got raped and then had a spontaneous orgasm (yes, the fanfic was indeed crap).
However, even Urotsukidoji is a walk in the park compared to some of the stuff the Europeans have been releasing. Trust me. Romance was quite the endurance test--actual sex, but no porn. Ugh.

Well, having seen some Urotsukidoji, some Tokyo Police (something), and some others which I don't remember exactly, I would say hentai sickens me as much as porn... when it's too much.
My point is, watching it from time to time and being able to enjoy it isn't a problem. I'm still a bit embarrassed because I don't have a lot of experience, but it can be interesting.
Rape scenes can be a problem, well, they are a problem, but I've read passages in previous messages stating how it's less disturbing for the Japanese to have such scenes in hentai because the rape rate is way lower there. Before being "assaulted" (see stereotypes topic) , I would watch rape scenes being disturbed, but I could still watch it. Now, it kinda scares me, so I've stopped, but I won't say I'll never watch hentai again.
I guess you'll have more problems with hentai if you have problems with pornography and sex in general. Age can be a factor of course, but education can have to do with that.
And of course keep in mind that I'm always open minded and ready to hear what others have to say. Though no one can get rid for me of the fear of trains I have now @_@;;;;;

.....Do you think women do not orgasm during rape? Let me let you in on a bit of an insight...sometimes, in fact, most of the time, a woman cannot fully CONTROL her body during rape or sexual assault. It is not unusual in the slightest for an orgasm to occur.Jusenkyo no Pikachu wrote: Although I did once read a fanfic where Minako got raped and then had a spontaneous orgasm (yes, the fanfic was indeed crap).
Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

But remember people were talking about 2 different cultures. The Japanese don't see this as a problem due to their lower crimes rates and maybe won't do it. The Americans view this as sick and wrong. I don't know if this is true or not that Americans will mimic what they see on tv. Maybe that's why we have a problem with Hentai or Porn.

Reread the statistic: REPORTED rape in Japan is 1/20th of what it is in America.AnimeGuru0 wrote: It is this: according to the crime stats, rape is much less prevalent in Japan. The rate of reported rape in Japan is 1/20th what it is in America. This compares favorably to the rate of rape in most European countries as well.
Women in Japanese cities are able to walk the streets at night completely without fear of rape, something that does not occur in American cities at all. It's

from http://www.umich.edu/~iinet/journal/vol3no1/jpndv.htmlIn Japan, domestic violence is so pervasive that it is considered a normal part of marriage, never recognized as a serious social problem, and lacking even an appropriate term in the Japanese language. Moreover, battered women have been deprived of any social institution where they can confront domestic violence.
It's not that sexual harassment is LOWER in Japan, it's that up until recently, women had no protection from it, so why bother reporting it?
