PGSM Manga vs. Original Manga

Do you think that the original manga is better of that the PGSM manga is better? I have the oppurtunity to purchase both (original as an 18 manga set, the new ones as they come out), but I'd really only like to purchase one of them, right away at least. Which one do you think would be better?

There aren't any differences in the story. The rerelease has new covers, and a few extras like added artwork and a goodie or two. I'd go with whichever is more affordable personally.

Added artwork? Do you mean in the story or the inside covers? I also heard some dialouge was changed, and some act names, like (I'm not sure of the exact act number) in the original Act 9 was Moon Princess and in the new manga Act 9 was something with Endymion in it.

Alex Glover of The Manga of Takeuchi Naoko website is listing changes in dialoge (he's up to Vol.3). Some changes I like, some I hate, but from what little I've seen of the art, the new art changes are good.

Personally, I enjoy the new PGSM manga. The new touches on the artwork are just really nice, and it makes the manga series as a whole feel cleaner and more consistent.

I've noticed that on my volume 4 book, the logo is slightly raised from the page, yet on my other volumes it is level. I purchased volume 4 first, due to the others being out of stock at the time. Does anyone know if the raised logo indicates an earlier printing or something?

You know how the new manga has all this special stuff like stickers and new coloured pictures, do you know if they're going to be in all the printed issues (i.e. first printing, second printing) or was it just a limited edition, while supplies last, first printing only thing? It sounds like you got your issues at a later printing, did they still come with the stickers and stuff?

Yes, I believe every issue has stickers and a few pages in color. It's really neat to see a scene with Sailor Moon, Evil Endymion, and Queen Beryl in color.

That's in volume 3, correct?

I really need that volume U_U;;

Last time I went to Kinokuniya they only had volumes 6, and 9. I grabbed 9 since I already had 6. I'm shocked they sold so many so fast.

Ah I really want the new prints.

I would be happy to see all of the pages in color! Naoko's art almost seems like a waste when it's in black and white.

I hope to find some of these soon, where are you guys buying them? (offline)

I get mine at Kinokuniya, New York City. It's a Japanese bookstore that has a whole floor of manga.
