A Friendship Between Taiki and Chibi-Usa?

Is it just me and my weirdness, or do you guys think they'd make good friends? I just think they could be good friends if they met. Here are some of my reasons:
1) Chibi-Usa seems to be popular with quiet, serious people; her best friends already include Hotaru, Setsuna, and Pegasus--Taiki is rather similar to them.

2) I think Chibi-Usa could understand Taiki's lonliness and what happened to his/her planet because of what she went through in the R season with the Black Moon attacking Crystal Tokyo, not to mention that she probably hasn't had many friends in her future world.

Of course, I do know that not only is Taiki from a different planet and different time period, but that they've never even met in the anime and manga, so any friendship between them would have to be in fanfics only. But I'm a major fan of the idea of them being friends--especially since they're two of my favorite characters!

Actually, I was thinking that when Usagi becomes queen, it isn't too unlikely that the Starlights and Kakyuu would come visit her again. Then Taiki would be able to meet Chibi-Usa (and Seiya could catch up again with Usagi :nudge nudge

).

But you do have a good point about them being friends, of course Chibi-Usa's the kind of person who could make friends with almost anyone.

By the way, the reason I didn't say "romance" is because the long distance between them would make a friendship tragic enough as it is. Unless, of course, there was some way the Starlights got stuck on Earth and couldn't go back to their planet. I've actually done that in a few fanfics.

I think they would have a good mentor-protege relationship, but I don't know that they would be the same kind of friends as Chibi-usa and Elios or Chibiusa and Hotaru. Chibi-usa, being born as she is to royalty, would have as great a respect for Taiki's elegance and bearing as she has disdain for Usagi's klutziness. Taiki would experience a pleasant surprise at a person so young being impressed with him instead of scared. Of course, explaining that he is originally a she wouldn't be a fun task for Taiki or Chibi-usa's parents.

I think Taiki would be utterly annoyed by Chibiusa. Chibiusa does deliberate things to make Usagi upset or jealous, and i believe Taiki would find that utterly childish (being that Chibiusa is a CHILD.) Also, I don't see Taiki wanting anything to do with Chibiusa, given the complete difference in personalities and ages. Sure, the senshi are just as old, but they're friends with Chibiusa becuase a) She's Usagi's future daughter, and they're kinda stuck around her in the future anyway, and b) She fell from the sky, and they had to protect her. It wasn't like they approached some random pink-haired little girl, and said "Hey, I'd like to be friends with you".

Perhaps Chibi-usa could become friends with Taiki because the both have a lot of anti-fans? ^^;;; Although I think Taiki has more anti-fans than Chibi-usa does....Anyway, seriously I don't think the two would be comptabible with each other as friends, let alone lovers. Taiki seems like he's too serious and Chibi-usa can be very bratty at times. Then again, Usagi's klutziness did make Taiki burst out in laughter several times and he did befriend that one little girl who was having surgery in that one episode of Sailor Stars, so maybe he would laugh at Usagi's and Chibi-usa's arguments and maybe if Chibi-usa saves him or she becomes ill with some sickness that she bravely over-comes, then they could become friends or Taiki will at least have some sort of respect for her. I personally think Chibi-usa would be better friends with Seiya, but that's a whole 'nother topic. ^^;;

I agree on the fact that I don't see them being compatible. Usagi's klutziness is something genuine, something she doesn't even realize she does, whereas a lot of times, Chibiusa's mean-spiritedness and outright brattiness is deliberate, so I don't think Taiki would appreciate it in the slightest. And I don't think he necessarily befriended that little girl, so much as simply did her a favor to help her spirit. Doing something for someone doesn't automatically make you a friend. Experiences together, being able to just talk and listen, and being there for them EVERYTIME they need it makes up a friendship, so it's kind of stretching to say he was FRIENDS with that little girl.

Well, they are certainly opposites, but...look at this:
Chibi-Usa only acts bratty with Usagi, for the most part. She's usually pretty nice to the other Senshi--the only time she was mean to them was the beginning of R. She befriends Hotaru, who is pretty serious, and they become friends WAY before Hotaru even gets the Saturn sign on her forehead. So she doesn't just befriend the Senshi because they're Senshi, Hotaru is a good example of this. She actually seems to get along BETTER with quiet, serious people than with Usagi-types, who are more similar to her. (maybe she befriends those kinds of people because they're more dignified, and more like the kind of lady she wants to be?)

As for Seiya, I think the friendship would last until she found out Seiya had a crush on Usagi, at which point she'd probably be suspicious of Seiya at the least. Her behavior in the SuperS episode about Saori, where she got VERY worried that Mamoru would choose her instead of Usagi, shows that she hates anyone who might come between the couple--for the obvious reason that she would die!

Now, I'm certainly not suggesting they would get along absolutely perfectly--no one does. Even in my fics, they have a few problems, especially at the beginning. But look at Usagi and Rei--they bicker all the time and they're extremely good friends.

1) Actually, she was quite the brat toward the end of R, too. EVERYTIME the senshi told her to stay back, or to hide, or to get the fuck outta the way, she felt the need to defy them. She's stubborn and bratty, and I think unless someone already had a predefined, set relationship with her (aka: the senshi, usagi, and mamoru), they would be incredibly annoyed and frustrated with her.

2) Hotaru is serious becuase she's got a freakin demon living inside of her, killing her inch by inch. she's also much closer to Chibiusa's age, and has no friends whatsoever. That makes her vulnerable to ANY positive attention, including the brat's. And hell, chibiusa wants any attention she can get, whether it's positive or negative, so that's how Hotaru and Chibiusa get along. Taiki, however, doesn't CARE if he has any friends. He's fine by himself, with his seriousness and his intellect.

3) Enough with the fics. ENOUGH. It seems that just about every topic you make is an excuse to sneak in information about your parodies, fics, or radical senshi ideas. WE KNOW. We KNOW who you like, who you despise, and who you think would work together. The fact that in your fics Taiki and Chibiusa have problems is 100% irrelevent, since it NEVER OCCURS in the SHOW, and therefore, doesn't pose a shred of evidence that the two would be good friends. Stop with the fic stuff.

Yeah sorry but I so don't see Chibi-Usa and Taiki being friends. It's not just the age, since Chibi is good friends with Setsuna.

Unlike Hotaru and Setsuna, Taiki doesn't seem to want to be close friends with anybody. I also think a big reason Hotaru and Chibi-Usa are good friends is that Chibi-Usa could relate to Hotaru. She was also teased at school when she came into the present. And she reached out to Hotaru a lot. Something Usagi would probably do too because she's so friendly. Chibi-Usa also probably "felt sorry" for her and wanted to get to know her. Perhaps that's apart of the reason she's so close to Setsuna too. That and Setsuna treats her like a daughter.

Someone said earlier she'd be more likely to be friends with Seiya, and I agree.

I guess this was pointless of me to make this topic; especially since they DON'T meet and thus we'll never know whether they would've been friends, enemies, or inbetween anyway. Maybe this should just be locked. I'm not angry at anyone; it's just that this isn't really going to go anywhere; unless people really do like speculating about the issue.

It's not that we wouldn't want to speculate, Rainbow, the idea of this topic looks interesting since we can always speculate about stuff in Sailor Moon. But Tiff has a point: what makes the topic wrong is that you always mention your fanfics, or who you like/don't like, and I guess everyone here could make an accurate list of all your Sailor Moon-related preferences.

You're nice, Rainbow, you make interesting comments, but sometimes, sounds a tidbit too much, see n_n ?

I'm sorry, I kind of was mad when I posted that. Soooo...um, Seiya as her friend? I'd kind of like to see what would happen if she found out who Seiya had a crush on, though, would she still like him then?

Or, would she be a good friend for Yaten? Maybe not, they might be a little TOO similar--two brats together is often not a good combination!

No one has mentioned it, but I think that Chibi-Usa could be friends, or something like that, with Princess Kakyuu. I can see Chibi-Usa respecting her, and Kakyuu seems like a patient person who could probably put up with the immense amount of cute-in-your-face-pinkness that is the Chibi.

Of course if Chibi-Usa ticks her off, Kakyuu could always just "Fusion Tempest" her ass

Actually, that would work out VERY well, given that Kakyuu is much like the lady that Chibi-Usa herself wishes to be. So there might be the idolization factor in there.

Hmm...maybe this should've been a "What would happen if Chibi-Usa met the Starlights?" topic instead of just Taiki!

Well, I can aplogize, but I know that just saying I won't do it again would be empty unless I actually do that. I think I sometimes repeat myself without even realizing I'm doing it.

I AM sorry I didn't take you seriously, but that was because I was being silly about the list thing, and I thought it was funny that you actually tried doing that. I felt flattered that you'd remember!
