Whys Mercury get the shaft so often?

Now I'm like some ultra Ami fan or nothing but I just think it's plain cruel that whenever they all transform together an stuff like that hers goes second or even later! Why? She was the first soldier after Moon to show up. Pretty mean.

Actually, if you want to talk about getting the shaft transformation-wise, Saturn didn't even get a transformation! Also, Taiki should've gotten a full second transformation that could've been shown in episode 191. Hers was only shown with the other Starlights' all together, which means the ending got cut off.

o_O; yeah, it's not like they said "oooh ami's gonna go second becuase we can't stand her! AHAHAHHA!". It goes in that order because that was the order in which usagi found them.

If you go by your logic, Venus should henshin even before moon, becuase she was the first senshi to ever awaken. Again, it's not some intentional thing to shadow Ami.
And as Sakuya said..Ami is generally the favorite in Japan, becuase most Japanese girls can identify with her. She's studious, timid, quiet, and she fits in with the typical Japanese "female role".

Er, the reason moon goes first is due to the fact that it is her show. And Tiff is right, it always goes in the Mercury/Mars/Jupiter/Venus because that is the order that Usagi found them. And considering the fact that practically all the fillers center around her I'd hardly say she gets "the shaft" with the exception of the SuperS season, everyone got the shaft so Chibi-moon could be in the spotlight in that season.

Yeah, I hated that too...

And Ami is my favorite Senshi, actually. I'd say she was the least screwed-over of the non-Moon Senshi...

Then why have the last 2 episodes straight I've watched of R (#75&76) have it going

I swear..once I get S and SS I'm gonna do some uber nuance list with this series and transformation order will be one of the items on it!

(and yes I do think Minako should go first cause she's the best!!!)

Normally, I can handle Chibiusa filler episodes, but the SuperS season? Heck, she could've gotten her own spin-off show. Although Ami is one of my favorite characters, I wish some of the senshi filler episodes were focused somewhat on the others too. Of course, someone could say the same thing for Ami that I said about Chibiusa. "Ami could've gotten her own show, she has so many episodes..". I think though, that Mercury isn't the one getting the shaft. Look at Hotaru! She doesn't get a henshin sequence, she is almost completely shut out of the Sailorstars season, only appearing in the first 6 episodes, and the battle against Galaxia. Not to mention the fact that the other soldiers of the outer planetary system were shut out of SuperS, except Haruka and Michiru's SuperS special, and the movie.

Sweetie, you're making a big deal over something that happens rarely. So she doesn't get her normal 2nd spot a few times, big deal. If any of the inner senshi should complain about never going second, it should be Minako and Makoto. They're always last and have to share filler episodes. As for Hotaru, she and Setsuna were never as major characers as the Moons, Mamoru, Inners, Haruka, and Michiru to begin with. They only show up when needed.

I don't think Ami gets the shaft. She gets the most single person episodes and she gets her own special with her name on it! I think Jupiter is the one who gets the shaft. She gets the least single-person to herself.

I don't really care in what way they transform what get's me really is this why didn't Hotaru get one? why doesn't that bad guy get them during thier transformations ? (they take so long)

Ami doesn't get shatf to one side only her battle exam was ever animated which again is unfair the others were just as good

It's Defence the other attacks are offence.
What you should be askeing how can her attack's be ice abd bubbles when Mercury is so near sun?

I think PGSM has showed that the henshins are merely eye candy. Ami-chan was falling from a building when she transformed.

And as for her getting the shaft because she transforms second a couple of times?

As I recall in the manga, not only was there "Ami's First Love" but "Mako-chan's Depression" and "Minako and Rei's Schoolgirl Battles (?)" I forget if that's the title or not, but it's in there. I would say the other senshi get the shaft, merely because every 5 or so episodes we have Ami feeling insecure and the rest of the senshi have to bow down and worship her for her 'to feel motivated' again

The transformations only look long to us, but they happen almost instantly to the characters on the show. We get a glimpse of a Senshi transformation through a Sailor Moon character's eyes when Michiru transforms in the flashback episode. She just holds up her wand, a light covers her, fades away, and poof, she's Sailor Neptune! I bet that's what the transformations look like to the characters normally, we just get the longer eye candy.

I don't think Ami gets the shaft treatment. Hotaru gets it the most... Saturn RARELY appears, and RARELY uses attacks...

Ami's Bubble Spray attack is 1 of the 2 Defensive attacks in the ENTIRE ANIME. THAT is something.
