Heres a :?: what do you people think is being to old to watch Sailor Moon? Just wondering because my mom and dad keep saying that I am too old to be watching it and I am only 17. ( is that too old :? )

Well, it depends. There are some people at various ages who need to expand their intellectual horizons. There are other people who simply have the sort of taste that runs to Sailor Moon. My grandfather lived to 70 and watched cartoons every week. He also read books on military history and scientific theory. Age is just a number. OK, you watch Sailor Moon; do you watch any other anime? There are many that have many deeper themes and more complex plots. Do you read with an eye toward variety? Have you found a style of music you like or will you listen to whatever the radio plays?

To answer the question you pose, too old to watch Sailor Moon is when you get bored of it. This is a function not of age, but of experience and taste.

Well put, Sailorasteroid. There is no "too old" when it comes to anything you like, IMO. Granted, one's level of fanboy/girlism often tends to die down with age as more important things come into your life, but I honestly don't believe there is a maximum age beyond which you cannot enjoy Sailormoon - or anything else defined as "kiddy" for that matter.

*Shrug* I'm 21, and if you hand me a pretty barbie doll and some clothes, i'm busy for the entire afternoon. Hell, I love cartoons and toys, and other "kid" stuff. Being young at heart is very important, becuase too often we grow up too fast, so it's nice to keep that inner child with you all through the years.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

Yeah, what Tiff said, heh. I'm the only 21 year old around here though who still has badges and keyrings on her coat and bag and stuff. Hmmph. Damn grown-ups. There's acting like an immature brat, and there's embracing kids' stuff. People need to learn the difference.

Anyway, as I said I'm 21, very nearly 22, and I've got no shame about liking Sailor Moon. Or any other anime, for that matter. I don't think you're ever too old. :)

No, you are not too old to like Sailor Moon. I am 20, and have been a fan since I was 14 or 15. There is nothing wrong with liking something like this.

Nah, you ain't too old. I'm almost 17 and I really like Sailor Moon. Granted, I watch it mainly to practice my japanese (I didn't get into anime until after I started learning the language) but I really enjoy it. Most of my friends all have at least one 'kiddy' thing they are into, it's just a fun hobby that's a bit different. :)

i'm in the same boat as tiff. hehe you can still catch me playing with dolls if i'm in the mood. dont worry about what your parents say. they said it to me, and now i'm on my own, and i still watch cartoons, mainly sailormoon. being young at heart makes your life more fun, ecspecially around serious adults, because they just don't get what you're saying :D

Not really. I'm 14. I know some users are 13, so there is a pretty big difference. My parents think I'm too old to play with legos. I know I'm not too old for them, cause when I do play with them, I am busy for a while.

definately no "too old". i'm 16, i love pocket monsters, harry potter (though i'll dispute with anyone who writes them off as "kid's books"), and playing with toys. not really a big deal what other people think if you're enjoying yourself. hell, look at michael jackson (i mean with the toys and stuff... not the other stuff).

I'm 23, and I didn't even start watching Sailor Moon until around the time I turned 20. I guess you could say I was too old for it from the very beginning, but if you only limit yourself to things that other people say're the right age for where's the fun in that?

Which does your parents want you to watch? R-rated movies with mindless violence and sex or something "kiddish" like Sailor Moon? I don't think you can ever be too old for cartoons. After all, they're tons of Disney movies that adults enjoy watching too, and they're things called "family films", which I like to consider Sailor Moon as, as it has something in it for all ages to enjoy.

Considering that there are many fans of anime shows and cartoons who are much older than 17-23, I don't think you can be too old to watch Sailor Moon. Many of the fans of Mickey Mouse and Popeye, for example, watched them as kids and still like to watch them now, but are not necessarily childish people. (I don't know if this really helps or not...)

Adults are werid, hell I'm almost 23 and my husband and I keep our tv on the cartoon network!!! I don't think you can be to old for much of anything now a days. I still read my books, write my poetry, and do my other adult stuff. But I play with toys, watch cartoons, and play yu-gi-oh (I have been told by another adult that I'm to old to play). Hell I work at a toy store for crying out loud!! But don't worry, when you get older your parents are going to remember when you were younger and wish you were like 10 years old again.

I'm 20 and I have a teddy bear on my bed. Well, it's on the floor right now but it's not going anywhere outside of my room as long as it stays together.

I also have a plush Totoro that I got two years ago. Now I'm wishing the bastards down at Fox had released My Neighbour Totoro down here in 1993.

I also have been known to like My Little Pony and Play School.

XD I sleep with a tattered stuffed bear, and have plush elephants and bunnies all over my room.

My Little Pony kicks ASS. At least, the old ones do.

I also have TONS of beanie baby Cats. and I'm a guy too. I just love cats, and I usually don't sell some things. I still haven't sold my Pokemon Cards. too many memories...

Another thing is on my game consoles the number of sports games and shooters *except PC* are slim to none.

no shame however. I just love cats, and I'm different.
