I'm tired of hearing how awful the dub is..

I'm not watching the "real" Sailor Moon...what would I know? I'm not a "true" Sailor Moon fan, if Tiff-san's previous statements on this forum AND on the SMU web site indicate. So can I honestly give an opinion of an anime I've only seen 1/7th of in its original Japanese?

Where in nine hells have I said that anybody who doesn't watch the sub isn't a true sailor moon fan? Where? I demand to be shown. If I had said that, then it was either meant as a joke or sarcasm, but I don't recall a single moment I've said that.

A true, hardcore purist wouldn't have anything to do with the dub, and so probably wouldn't even know what Serena's CWI voice sounded like.

P-U-R-I-S-T. Not fan, PURIST. I am not a purist. I am a fan of the sub. NOWHERE does it say that a true sailor moon fan doesn't like the dub. Nowhere. You just made yourself look like a complete fool in my eyes, becuase you took two different words, "purist" and "fan", and suddenly turned them into something that meant the same thing.

And Purist WOULDN'T have anything to do with the dub, becuase purists generally watch anime raw or subbed-only, and don't even attempt to TRY dubs. I have been known to watch cowboy bebop dubbed on cartoon network frequently, just for fun, and give just about any dub a chance before judging it. A purist wouldn't even bother glancing at it.

This is a classic case of someone taking my words, and twisting them...just like every other fucking time I speak my mind.

Maybe I should just hide behind a rock and not say what I have to say, just so over-sensitive soap-box protesters don't take what I say out of context, or decide to twist them around to meet the needs of their page-long rant? Would that satisfy the majority of this board?

I second that, Rainbow. I too prefer the sub over the dub, but I am not totally against watching the dub.

NEO DEAD MOON - This conversation has gotten way out of hand. Some of your comments are borderline slanderous. It seems like you have a personal vendetta against certain mods or chibi-mods. This is unacceptable.

For the record, Tiff never said anything about preferring Linda Ballentyne's voice of Terri's, yet it still being inferior to Tracey Moore's. I DID. I write the comparisons and everything outside of our two cents was written by me.

And for that matter, your original post seems to attack what our very site stands for. My question is, why are you even here??? It's ok do disagree with our opinions and statements, but to outright attack them? Hm.
