OK, what were they thinking when they came up with that?!? You think one person on the street would think it was a bit out of the ordinary...

But as for Naoko's drawing... it looks so much more adorable.

Why couldn't Luna have worn that civilian outfit? It looks much cooler and less circus-like. And I like how she used black instead of the purple and blue. It matches Luna from the anime and manga more and just looks more classy.

I've got it. It's a new trend in Japan, having tails surgecially attached to you. Many rich girls are having long tails sewn to their asses in an attept to make fashion statement or rebelious statement, or something like that. The cat girl look is the latest thang ... ... ...

Can we bring the idea to North America? In fact, I think I'm going to start supporting the Sailor Luna idea just to convince Western girls that grafting a tail on your butt and ears on your head and going around miaoing is going to help them be popular with boys.

LOL that's the last thing North America needs. A bunch of girls dressing like a hybrid of Christina Agulara and Narya and Arya. That would be every anime fanboys dream come true wouldn't it

Holy criminey! I was saying to myself, "What are they all talking about? Civilian Luna doesn't have a tail!" Then I pulled up episode 27 to prove to myself that I was right...

I'm WRONG!!! Now, the question is, WHY DIDN'T I NOTICE THIS???!!!

Personally, I liked her transformation sequence, just because I have to laugh and shake my head everytime I see it. Yes, the underage booty shaking is definitely a WTF moment, but the whole thing made me and my husband crack up. I even put a portion of plushie Luna's part in it as my avatar because it's so cute.

There's a new live action version of Sailormoon called Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. It's basically the first part of the manga with a few changes, one of which is the introduction of Sailor Luna. Here is a good primer site.

I mean this as nicely and politely as possibile, but please use real words and grammar. Writing like that does not make you sound cool. Again, I say that as nicely as I can, but it's really getting irritating.

I read somewhere that Sailor Luna may not actually be a child. They mentioned her maturity and something about how Motoki called her a kid and she got mad at him, saying that she isn't. Maybe she's like Chibi-usa in the manga where she can't age?

Personally, I'm grown to love Sailor Luna, I actually think she's one of my top favorite characters now. I bought the My Dear Friend CD and just loved 'Sweet Little Resistance'. When I was in Japan, I saw a doll of her for eight dollars and kick my self now for not buying it. T_T

I definitely agree, now that I've actually seen some PGSM she's my favorite on that show. Then again, my opinion might change if I see even more, I've only seen about 7 1/2 episodes as of this post.

Anyway, I've built up more of a tolerance for Sailor Luna now. I still don't like her, but I no longer hate the idea as much as before.

Sailor Luna?!! Is that from sorta' fanfiction. Nope, it's really a part of the PGSM series!! I never looked at this topic before because I figured it was about some fanfic or a joke in the manga, with senshi referring to her as that one time, but no, it's for real. The picture from PGSM was just horrifying! I can't believe they have a little girl wear that. Naoko' picture is cute though, it looks like something out of an artbook perhaps, but like some people have said, what works on paper, doesn't always work in real life.

One thing interesting I found out... I've been re-reading the Sailor Moon manga (US translated version) and Sailor Luna is actually mentioned in the notes in the back of the first few volumes, how Naoko's editor Osabu I believe it was thought it would be neat if Luna was a sailor senshi. It was mentioned again a volume or two later the prospect of Sailor Luna. So it seems to me that the idea has been around for a long time, it just took PGSM to pull it off.

Mmm, I noticed that too. It's in the back of book #3. It says, "Trespassing cat, Sailor Luna, replay from the last time,". Whatever that means! >.<
