Things I think Are Funny Early in the Morning: If Batman were a Smurf: "Quick, Robin! We must smurf down to the Batcave and smurf the Batplane! Then we must smurf the batsmurf so we can smurf where the Joker is smurfing!"

The Croonerism Spate (explanations upon request)
Be careful with this one, there is a bit of a pun involved. Dr. Spooner described his visit to a castle: "In the center of the fortress was the Palace Court. The gated entrance to this area was the court palace."

Those are hilarious! They remind me of what you would get if you crossed Puni Puni Poemi with Sailor Moon or something. Especially number 13. :D

I've got another one; this time it's a flash video from albinoblacksheep.com called "Chocolate Niblet Beans". Near the beginning, there's a parody of Usagi's henshin, and later on there's a longer Sailor Moon parody. It takes a couple minutes to load, but it's worth it (if you like trippy, random cartoons). =)

Compared to some of the other stuffs on albinoblackshep, that cartoon could easily be considered normal.

That video makes really sense to me (Irony BEWARE)... it was fun to watch, especially the little Sailor Moon parody, but I guess I will never understand these videos! *drop*

Man, that video was crazy! XD

But I think the parody of SM's henshin was done pretty good - different enough not to be an exact copy, but still similar for it to be funny.

Well, here's a few fun ones that I don't think have been mentioned yet...

Sailor Moon has been cited in a scientific paper! Excerpts from the manga appeared in a 1999 publication of a study looking at the use of manga in teaching. If you have access to a university library, you can look it up. Here's the full citation:
Nagata, Ryoichi (1999) “Learning Biochemistry Through Manga -- Helping Students Learn and Remember, and Making Lectures More Exciting,” Biochemical Education, 27:4, 200-203.

Also, a clip from Sailor Stars has been seen on British TV! It's not much, but it's more than most countries have managed. The clip was from the dressing room scene in Episode 180, and it appeared in a short documentary on Channel 4 about Yuricon, the American yuri convention/publisher/international behemoth. There was also a couple of clips from Episode 106, as well as some stuff from Utena, Oniisama E and, er, Hen (Don't ask).
Amazoness! Because men seldom make passes at girls who routinely kill men.

That's really awesome. I wish I could have seen that..not just for the stars clip, but becuase taht whole documentary sounds extremely cool.

It's a very short documentary indeed (about four minutes long, I think) but it's very entertaining, if only for the sight of Yuricon founder Erica Friedman surrounded by more anime figures than I have ever seen. Mind you, being a Channel 4 production, there has to be a bit of naughtiness, hence the inclusion of a few clips from Hen.

There was a copy available online for a while, although I can't quite remember where now. I do have a copy (it's about 48 MB) so if you really want to see it, pester me and I'll see about getting it to you.

There's one other possible sighting in Slayers becides the Gourry crossdressing bit. There was this one episode in Slayers Next where Lina gets her powers sealed away and she goes looking for this socrery doctor to get her magic back. She finds out that this sorcery doctor is just a little kid. Said kid is almost a dead ringer for Chibi-Usa.

OMG! That's the short documentary that started my entire interest in Sailor Moon! I don't remember the Stars clip but I remember seeing Haruka in her suit for the ball in S and falling in love! A few months after it I had a dream about Uranus an Neptune and then just had to seek out the series. Within a year I'd bought all 5 series and have never looked back except to wonder if I actuallt did see that documentary or if it was a dream as well... but at last I know that I'm not crazy!

Guildenstern: No; Death is not, it isn’t. Death is the ultimate negative; not being. You can’t not be on a boat.
Rosencrantz: I’ve frequently not been on boats.
Guildenstern: No; what you’ve been, is not on boats.

I found something interesting.

On www.webtender.com (An online recipe-book-type-site for alcoholic drinks) has 3 recipies to look at:

1: Sailor Moon

2: Sailor Mercury

3: Sailor Venus

In the Simpsons book that's supposed to be about the Comic Book Guy (I'm not sure what it's exactly called, but it's a new one), there's several anime references and a few Sailor Moon ones. Here are three that I remember:
1) I think there's a picture of a girl (cartoon girl) cosplaying in an outfit that looks VERY similar to Sailor Moon's.
2) Another one is where "Sailor Moon" is put in a series of "Bart's Crappy Girl's Comics" or something like that.
3) There's a mention of "Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon" schoolgirl outfits in a part about what things sell out quickly at comic conventions.

On a similar note, there's a part where he has on a list something about watching an adult anime about magical girls and tentacle monsters. That made me think of Venus 5, which is easily something I could imagine Comic Book Guy watching.

It's called "Comic Book Guy's Book of Pop Culture". I looked through it at a book store and it looks pretty funny.
Peachvampiress has an account on DeviantArt. Insanity Within.
And a Myspace account for her clothing designs.
