What did watching the dub make you believe?

I noticed "her" chest right away. When I was 10, my friends made no comment about it, but I did debate whether or not Zoicite was really female. I was like "Where are her boobs?!" (Come on, I was 10!)

Heheh. I was fifteen when I saw the dub, and I didn't notice. Weird how that is sometimes.

Yeah the age order of the Ayakashi sisters (from oldest to youngest) is supposed to be Petz, Calaveras, Bercuhe, Cooan. I think the dub made it somethin like Catzi, Prisma, Avery, Bertie. o_O

As for the Negaforce, I know in the Japanese Metallia isn't human. I meant I didn't think she was really alive or anything. I was about 12 when I first saw the dub so let's just say I was confused.

Oy I also believed those SOS articles about Prince Uranus and Haruka and Michiru's relationship. ~_~

Ok... I didn't see the original shows of the first season... in fact I didn't see much... but I have one question that is bugging me about a subject that is alwais coming back in this topic.

Zoicite is a guy?!?!!?!? How do you learn that??

And does that mean that Zoicite and Malachite are gay!?!?

Yes. Zoicite is a man.

In the anime, yes, Zoicite and Kunzite are gay. in the manga, they aren't.

Dunno. you'd have to ask the people at Toei about that question.
I learned it on this site, the episode comparisons. Episode 14 actually.
So characters look like the opposite gender... so does Haruka. For pete's sake, all of the Inner Senshi thought haruka was a boy for the first episode.

Why not?

Hun about 90% of us have seen or own the original show. We know they're gay becuase in the show..THEY'RE GAY. We didn't necessarily "learn it" anywhere. It's in the show.

Zoicite, in the original, is extremely feminine, down to the way he talks, so he looks feminine. But there are no breasts, if you look. It's a man.

You really ought to research the original sailor moon show before posting more, becuase otherwise, you'll be very, very confused at times. I suggest these sites:

Ok.. thanks... but I'm still very troubled...

But 2 out of 3 of the sites that you just gave me say that Zoicite is a girl!

And I don't understand the point of making her a guy... I mean... She/He attacks with petals... how girly is that?? And a gay couple... how odd is that... why did they change it? I seem to remember that in the manga, Zoicite is a woman...

No, Zoicite was never a woman, in either the manga or the anime. And though I have never seen the Live-Action Sailor Moon for myself, I'm pretty sure that Zoicite is a man, too. And like I said, I also belived that Anime Zoicite was a woman at first, until I found this and some other sites that cleared that all up.

Only the second link Tiff gave mentioned that Zoicite was a girl and that was info about the dubbed version. I didn't see anywhere in the other two pages where they said Zoicite is a girl. It was mentioned earlier in the thread that in the manga, Zoicite was a male. They did not change Zoicite to being male from female, but they changed him from being a male to a female in the English dub. Why're you getting so freaked out about this, anyway? This is actually pretty common in anime, you know, especially in magical girl series like Sailor Moon.

Zoicite is a guy who is the BITCH in the relationship. In any gay relationship, there is usually someone who acts the opposite of what their gender is. Are you familiar with singers like Boy George? Look up a band called Malace Mizer. It's natural for guys that are gay to look and act feminine.

I don't mind that they're gay... I just didn't think that Naoko Takeuchi had made a gay couple... well there is a lot of controversy with Uranus and the three Star Sailors... but still...

No, they are GAY. By that, they are literally GAY. It's not some stupid controversy like how people make Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock, or Bert and Ernie to be gay. Zoicite and Kunzite (both MEN) are lovers and are meant to be lovers.

It's not the first or last gay couple in a Anime. There are a lot of anime's all about gay couples. It was proberly made for the fan girls who like Yaoi

It's been a long time since I've seen this episode, so I can't really remember it quite well, but in the episode where the Amazon Trio were defeated in Supers, the dub somehow implied that they were going to be reborn again and I was looking forward to seeing them back again and as good guys, but that didn't happen...As I said earlier in this post, it's been awhile since I've seen that episode, so it could've been something the dub was trying to imply or I just made the whole thing up in my head and got confused. ^^;;
