Hey, I was wondering if someone had the season of Sailor Moon S and Supers on vcd? If u do would u be able to duplicate it and send it to me. I am willing to pay and send the cd's to you. The seasons must be japanese with english subs. The picture and audio must be C+ to A quality. Thanks...

Moving to Sailor Moon forum since the thread has nothing to do with this site or forums, rather a general question regarding SM.

And to comment, you're probably better off just buying Geneon's DVDs of both these seasons, especially the cheap Signature Series line. VCDs can hold only three episodes per disc, whereas said DVDs have either 6 or 7 episodes on each, with the exception of the final SuperS disc. They're a tad better quality than fansubs, actually worth replacing your fansubs for, with the only problems with the discs being the last OP sequence for both seasons used in whole seasons instead of changing the sequences (though extras in the discs show these skipped over OPs) and no next episode previews.

On top of that, I don't believe anyone has made VCD or VCD-ready versions of the S and SS subs since creating VCDs didn't become popular until after S and SS were picked up and being released. Even if you were to find the subs in that format, I'm willing to bet that unless they came from China or another Asian bootleg country (where you should prepare yourself for some piss poor translations), that those subs are ripped right off the discs I mentioned, which kind of defeats the purpose of avoiding buying the discs if that's your intent. Might as well just put up the extra cash to get what you'll most likely end up with in better quality with less discs and beautiful covers and support Geneon's good work.

Or why not download Nero and burn VCDs yourself? You can download the R1 DVD rips of the S and Supers season from here: http://bt.anime-galaxy.com/index_sm.php , but keep in mind you'll need Bittorrent to download it and these are DVD rips, so if you have the money, you should just buy the official DVDs themselves. I'd buy them, but currently don't have the money.

There's no reason why you couldn't have asked this question in your VCD topic. Topic merged.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

Yes, they're subbed and they're AVI files, so it should be easy to convert to MPEG to burn as VCDs.

VCD stands for Video CD, they were developed before DVD as a means of storing movies on discs. The real problem is compared to DVDs and even Videos the quality is terrible, like that of realmedia files (on offense to realmedia, the files are great for downloading and watching real time, but they are really fuzzy) That's why they never really caught on.

Personally, just get the official DVDs. The video quality is much better than anything off a VCD. :)

I know this has nothing to do with what's mentioned up above, but the title of the thread is "Help" So I didn't know where to put post this, but I'm curious as to why all the transformation and attack phrases are in English. Would anyone happen to know why?

Sorry if I caused any trouble..=_=;

From the rules:

Stay on topic
If you post in a thread, be sure to keep the thread as close to the original post's topic as possible. While yes, other things can come up in discussion when discussing anything, this should be kept to a minimal to keep a thread on the topic the title of the thread is about.

While the title does say "Help" in it, the topic was about finding episodes on VCD, and asking about attack names has nothing to do with this. Given that this could generate some discussion, however, I would recommend making a new topic devoted to this.

Oops, well I didn't want to make a new thread for a question that could be answered in one post.

Anyway sorry for going off topic.
