What is your favorite PGSM song so far?

Post by RoastedTwinkies » Sat Feb 21, 2004 2:15 pm

What is your favorite PGSM song so far? (This can include BGM) Not that there's much to choose from, but hey ^_^

My favorite is C'est La Vie, because it's fun and it's like sugary candy for my ears! Most importantly, I enjoy it because I can relate to it. There's another song I liked, but I don't know it was called. If I can recall correctly, this song was played in the making of episode when the actresses are introduced. I also like the bg music played whenever Sailor V is around.

A tie between C'est La Vie and Katagoshi ni Kinsei. Both Ayaka songs, what a coincidence. I don't like Kirari Sailor Dream and Over Rainbow Tour gets on my nerves.

*nodsnods* I love that piece, as well as Kirari (Sailor Dream) and C'est la vie. I catch myself singing C'est la vie al the time!

My favorite is Kiari Sailor Dream. I find myself listening to it over and over again and I get stuck in my head all the time.

Mine is C'est la Vie because I think it's nice how it's a medium pace at first, then gets nice and cheery. I just overall like it.

Me: This is coming from the kid who doesn't know what Viagra is!
Ko: It's cold medicine, right?
Our Group: NO!!!
Me: Can I just say?
Dylan: Sure, it's no weirder than what normally comes out of your mouth.
Me: (says what)
Ko: .....What's that?
Me: ......*starts crying*
Carley: STEVE! STEVE GET OVER HERE AND TELL KO WHAT VIAGRA DOES!
Steve: See, it's like this: The bridge goes up and the soldiers rush out....

Tiff: Aww, you killed someone for me. That's so sweet in a f***ed up sort of way!

Mine should be "C'est la vie" though "Kiraki Sailor Dream" makes me shake everytime I hear it, I dunno why.

And I also love C'est la vie cause a) I can sing it, b) I can sing it when someone said it was difficult and c) I hope I can try it at the next karaoke contest I find... lol ^^;;

With all twelve of the vocal songs running through my head on a constant basis, and through my speakers on an intermittent basis, I just have to speak about them. All of the songs are good in their own way, but some are better than others. And my favorite. . .

"Romance" is one of the most fun songs to ever come out of the SM music corpus. It's got everything, nice melody, bouncy bass line, cutesy syncopations, great lyrics (the chorus talks about turning off the light and kissing, and I won't say more until Komatsu-san turns 18, which is in two months, for fear of prosectution). We even get a dance for it in Act 30. The song has everything, and if you ask me to rank the songs, it'll be number one.

But "Katagoshi ni Kinsei" is my favorite. It has none of the trappings, the lyrics are kinda cheesy, but the melody is so good and it's sung so emotionally, both sad and sweet at once, that it destroys my capacity to consider the merits objectively.
Things I think Are Funny Early in the Morning: If Batman were a Smurf: "Quick, Robin! We must smurf down to the Batcave and smurf the Batplane! Then we must smurf the batsmurf so we can smurf where the Joker is smurfing!"

The Croonerism Spate (explanations upon request)
Be careful with this one, there is a bit of a pun involved. Dr. Spooner described his visit to a castle: "In the center of the fortress was the Palace Court. The gated entrance to this area was the court palace."

Now that I've heard Change of Pace (the 13th song) I think Mi Amor is my favorite. I like Ami's songs the best, then Minako's. I like all the songs except Over Rainbow Tour and Hoshi Furu Yoake (only because of the bad vocals).

Have they actually released Change of Pace? I've only heard it in the show.

I've heard a couple of people say the vocals on Hoshi Furu Yoake are sub-par, but I just don't hear it. Maybe because there's always guitars and drums over the singing. My big complaint about the song is that the last line of the chorus, the "kokoro no kagi, hazushite" line, sounds exactly like the first line of "The Long and Winding Road."

My favourite song is Romance right now. I just love the beat, and I have fun singing the karaoke version of it when no one is home. And in act 30 when Ayaka sings it in a little concert, I love all the hand movements and everything. Makes me happy.

Oh, they're oggs now, I remember them having mp3s. Hm. Going crazy(er) I guess. Um, OK, the current version of Winamp should handle them, or you can get dbPowerAmp converter and the ogg vorbis codec, which can convert them to mp3. Once you've installed them, you just right-click the ogg file in Windows Explorer and the menu should come up with "Convert to."

Actually, I found a site where it has every song in MP3 format:

http://www.mysticalsenshi.com/mp3s.php

Click on Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon.

And I've also grown fond of Over Rainbow Tour.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

As for Mio's song, yes, it has been released, but I got it on another forum from someone who got the CD, so let me know if you want me to upload it to my webspace, unless you want to wait for the CD to be downloadable.

That song is kinda neat, I think, because it doesn't sound like evil Mio, it just sounds like Alisa singing quite well :P

As far as my favourite, problem is I love Romance, because it's fun, nice, and we get to see it on stage in the show... *heck, you WILL see it on stage anyway if you buy the special event DVD that will be released... in August, I think o.O* ... but I love Lovely Yell too, because it's Makoto-like without really being Makoto-like... err... sorry, lol, it's complicated like that :D

Dunno why but I know which ones I don't like: Hoshi... err... the other one Rei has other than Sakura Fubuki, and Here we go. I really prefer Over the Rainbow Tour, lol.

So, with that, did I pick a song ? Nope XD but that's because except those two, I like them all, even Mio's ! *now just wait for Luna's song and we'll see lol*

Oh, yes, I'd be very appreciative if you'd do that. But, when you say CD, do you mean just the single? Or a CD of just Alisa songs? Or all the PGSM songs?

Special Event DVD? What's this, then? Why don't I get to hear about these things? Why do I ask so many questions? :)

Okay, the answers, lol.

The Mio song is on the DJ Moon 2 CD that has just been released, I think. I'll upload the song right away on my webspace.

The "special event" is a kinda of drama-concert on stage, with some of the songs sung by groups of girls (Romance is sung by Minako, Ami, Usagi and they all dance as in ep 30).

Sae sings on that DVD, and for the final, Mamoru is said to sing, too :D

EDIT:
