disney show sailor stars? i don't think they would. i mean disney movies/shows are mostly for kids. even "that's so raven" and "lizzie maguire" is suitable for kids. i watch them with my cousin. sailor stars is certainly the most mature season of the sailor moon series. i don't think it is suitable for children.

but anyway, i'm off topic. i like seiya the most: his personality, looks, and the way he protects usagi is so sweet! yaten is funny because of his attitude. taiki is really smart and i admire him. i also like the way he looks in his glasses. (regular glasses, not the weird, old looking sunglasses.)
When I look in your eyes, I am drawn into them. Because my heart is beating so quickly, I know this is real. This heartache is too much, I've grown tired of it. Your smiling face is too brilliant. If we had met earlier. All I can find is that excuse.

What kind of voices do you think the Starlights would get in an American dub, male or female? I don't know about Seiya and Yaten, but I'm guessing Taiki would get an English accent, since he/she kind of acts like the English stereotype (at least the one we "Yanks" usually hold).

I would like to see Yaten with a feminine voice because of that whole episode of that celebertity girl who tried to ask Yaten out and assumed he was a homosexual, but most likely that won't happen as dubbing companies won't even allow characters to mention the word homosexual, so he'll probably end up with a manly sounding voice, unless the dub decides to make the Starlights female the entire time, which would obiviously give Yaten a female voice.

Maybe, but I don't think it was any "femininity" on Yaten's part that made Noriko (the actress) say that. I always thought she was just saying that because she's so haughty and assumes that any male who WOULDN'T want a date with her is gay. But I could be wrong; my assessment of the situation in that episode comes from my own weird tendency to NOT view Yaten as the most feminine-seeming Starlight and viewing them all as androgynous. (personally, Seiya's the one I can most recognize as a girl upon seeing his/her looks)

I honestly hope we get an uncut Subtitled boxed set.......If they try to dub and cut it OMG that would kill me.... As Stars is my favorite Season.... :D They would change/edit so much that it would not be the greatness that it is............ :!: :!: :!: :!: Oh and Seiya is my favorite Star.....I love the date he takes Usagi on, I think that is one of my all time favorite eps....Also the last episode when he tellls Mamoru to take care of her and then says "
These are just some words from some guy
"..........

My favorite's gotta be Yaten. He's freakin' awesome. I love that he isn't afraid to speak his mind, and that he doesn't care if he's being rude. Normally, a real person like that would annoy me to no end, but for some reason, I'm just drawn to Yaten. And in his guy form, he isn't that bad looking. :)

Then it'd probably be Seiya. I'm kinda in-between on him. He can be cool, but he can be pretty arrogant. He has some good lines though... "Am I not enough?"

Taiki. Ugh. No comment.

About Mako and her lesbian-ism...I personally don't think so at all. She's always comparing guys to her old senpai, and I don't think she would do that if she's a lesbian.

Just my thoughts.

Seiya: I love love love him!!! I'm quickly falling in love iwth the fact that I want Seiya and usagi to be together. And to disprovoe your one post Rainbow, I love Mamo-chan and Usako together. I love them together, they're like.. innocently sweet, but I love Seiya too..... Seiya's just.... how to put it into words??? ARGH Just say i love him.lol

Taiki.... ugh shot him down now I absolutely hate Taiki... he's so dull... You know Yaten's speech to that girl he was "dating for the press"you're so dull stop shut up you're dull!!!! that's what I want to say to Taiki.... *end of rant*

Yaten... te hee he's so funny! He's just so goofy.. I gues is the only way i can think to describe him her whatever.. lol that I just think he's hilarious (cept the fact that he was most against Seiya seeing Usagi.

Which post are you disproving? I just checked my posts on this topic and I didn't see one that says "One cannot like pairing Usagi with both Seiya and Mamoru." I'm just curious as to what you think you're disproving; I'm not angry with you.

I believe she's speaking of this:
Has anyone noticed that in general (I'm not talking about everyone, I'm making generalizations here):
Seiya fans: view all the Lights as boys, often brothers, sometimes make up excuses so that Seiya won't be a homosexual (the example I'm thinking of is the site Seiya Is The Man, which had an article that said that the Starlights were reincarnated as boys), and often don't like Mamoru
She's disproving your generalization by saying she's a seiya fan but also likes the Mamoru/usagi pairing.

Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?

Guess I'm going to jump on the Seiya/Usagi bandwagon. I dunno, I just love love Mamoru and Usagi in teh Manga but he just seems too distant for my taste in the anime. Besides, seeing Seiya and Usagi interact just makes me laugh and giggle like nobody's business.

Seiya is my favorite Starlight. I love how he is protective of Usagi, and yes he is a bit of an unrealistic character but, ahem, hello! LOL as if Sailor Moon is realistic on ANY level! Gosh, they break more laws of Physics and Gravity than the last Charlie's Angels Movie.

I don't care for Taiki's voice either, and um....what's up with "Star Gentle Uterus?" was "Star Gentle Cervix" not cool enough? already taken? "Star Gentle Ovaries?" Hmmmm :?

And Yaten, ummmm no I mean overall not a bad guy/girl, esp after that episode w/ Luna. Hey, anyone who cares for kitty cats is a-ok in my book! At first I wanted to smack the fucker but Yaten kind of grew on me.

However, I do love the tension between Haruka and Seiya, esp in the episode of the concert. Hehe, loved it when Haruka and Usagi burst into Michiru's dressing room: "Do the jealous dyke thing Haruka! Do the jealous dyke thing! woohoo!"

Ok, I will cut down on sugar next time.

I think Mamoru is better for Usagi, period...

If you've ever seen stars, then you'll know that Seiya flirts with Michiru, after Michiru asks him to help her undress. Haruka come sin jealous as hell, and nearly kicks poor Seiya's ass.

THAT, my friend, is the "jealous dyke thing".

I know about that scene (though I haven't gotten that far yet myself), I was just questioning the phrase she used...

1) The uterus, or womb, is a common symbol of creation, as in Star MAKER. The difference is, the scientific word uterus was used instead of the more poetic "womb."
2) Naoko Takeuchi doesn't know English very well and while she probably knows the general meaning of the word, she probably doesn't realize how grossed-out Americans would be hearing it used in a Senshi attack. (well, except for me!!! ) Also, the Japanese sometimes like to use weird mixes of English in things because it probably sounds exotic to them, just like Japanese seems weird and exotic to us.

I don't find it gross either. I've never heard anyone say they were grossed out by the attack name. Hell, most people I know don't even know what the uterus is. The reason people find it odd is because it's such an odd word to use. I mean, how many times a day do you hear/use the word "uterus."? It's just a weird word, not a gross one.
