Well...my family won't let me watch

Dawson
Felicity
Power Rangers
Passions

and probably Home And Away and Neighbours too.

I haven't been immune to this bug, as I used to try and stop my sister from watching Ren and Stimpy (I saw an ep, I laughed, but what exactly is there to rave about in a show that expects us to laugh about pointless grossness?)
"That new girl? She seems kinda weird to me. And what kind of name is Buffy anyway?"

Most of those drama shows are pretty bad. Power Rangers is plain horrid.

Ren and Stimpy... mixed. It can be funny, or lame.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

A reason some people may hate Sailor Moon is cause they hate the voice-acting. Most (if not all) of us know who's at falt :x , but it is too late to fix the damage :roll: . To try to fix this, I do my best to get people to watch the Sub version. Some people, however, just hate anime. 'Tis a waste of time and effort to talk to them about anime. Luckily, I'm versed in sports and movies. So I can change the subject quickly before things get heated. A funny thing happened the other night.

A woman walked into my workplace with a SM T-shirt on. I greeted her in the normal manner one greets a customer. I added "So, your a fan of Usagi-chan, too eh?" She looked at me as if I came from another world. :?

I mentioned that "Usagi" is Sailor Moon's name in the sub version I watch. Quite normally, she resopnded "What's the difference?" Rather than Go into detail, I kept it short. I said "Well, it has longer episodes of the one's you've already seen. There are episodes than where never seen. Luna sounds soo cute :mrgreen: . And it's more true to the Manga/comic book version."

She was surpised :o :shock: that whole ep's where never shown. When asked where to get them, I mention a few sites and some near-by stores. She said she'd "check it out." With luck I've converted a dubbie. I bet she was surprised to find a SM fan working the graveyard shift.:)

This is one way, I guess, to help more people understand why SM is such a great show. Sorry if I whent of topic at all. I had to share this experiance. :wink:

As far as having a website about how much someone hates BSSM, I'll go with... hmm, I think it was Tiff who said everyone has their right to state their opinions on their sites... after all, don't all sites start from an idea, an opinion about a show... when the site is about a show of course aha ^^;;

But, even though I agree that there are far worse things than a website where the person is "stupid" enough to say he/she hates SailorMoon with no "reason" whatsoever, I also think stating your opinion should always be done "properly" anyway.

With "reason" and "properly", I don't mean he/she has to state why or when he/she started to hate the show, because as Tiff said (I think) they don't have to have a reason to hate the show. But I think "politeness" is a must. Even if there are a few strong sentences here and there, it doesn't mean it has to be curse words and the like every two words ^^;;

That's my two cents ^^;;;;;

Amen, friend. Amen.
It's not the fact people hate something for no reason, it's the way they convey the message. When someone says, "Peice of *flith* with stupid *filthing* animationion. The people who dubbed it should die and the script writers should be shot" they could easily say, "I didn't care for this. I thought the animation was all around subpar. In addition, the voice acting was terrible and the script adaptation could have been much batter."

Not only is the second one more visually appealing, but it shows more maturity then harsh cusswords in every other breath.
And really, why shouldn't we be afraid? In case you haven't heard, life is terminal. Cigarettes will kill you. So will your cellphone. Your car is a deadly weapon and alcohol is a quiet killer. Don't lick the lead-based paint on the walls. Don't lick the back of a postage stamp and certainly don't lick any strangers! That will bring you down quickly indeed. Don't drink the water but don't drink less than eight glasses a day. Your enviroment is toxic, your natural resources are dwindling, your days are numbered, but what ever you do, don't panic! The stress, don't you know, will kill you.

Oh, I quite agree. But I think it's ridiculous to get all pissed off and worked up over someone who's calling Sailor Moon fans "Stupid idiots" or something like that...who the hell cares what this person thinks of you?

I understand. If I got discouraged or outraged everytime someone called me a faggot or a whore because of a difference of opinion or to get under my skin, I'd be a pretty pathetic person (this comment wasn't directed to anyone other than myself). Especailly with all the self-esteem and self-improvemnet that I've done over the years. It's just that some intellegence would be welcome now and then, not to mention a big break from immaturity.

*nods to Tiff*

As for being pissed when someone says "Sailor Moon fans are idiots" well I think there's a difference between that and saying "Sailor Moon fans should all die" or something like that :P

But then, I do agree with the fact that no one should be pissed off by that. I've been called an idiot (or insulted) many times over the years, whether it was my weight, my looks, my likes, or whatever.

Heck, to go through this, I found a lovely place (copyright to my boyfriend who gave me the idea) : IgnoreLand, guys. Want a tickets to there ;) ?

Heh. Good one Senshi. Most of the people that came into Toys R Us, where I worked for the Xmas season, were rich and snobby. lol so I only converstated with some...

Anywho, back on topic. Yeah I hate the SM dub because of the voices and the unesccary (I can't spell that word for the life of me) cuts.

and another thing. how ppl can spend so much time working on a site about something that they "hate" is beyond me. wouldn't u rather spend time on something you like than waste time on something you "hate"?
When I look in your eyes, I am drawn into them. Because my heart is beating so quickly, I know this is real. This heartache is too much, I've grown tired of it. Your smiling face is too brilliant. If we had met earlier. All I can find is that excuse.

*points to topic* becuase of this right here. They know it gets a reaction. They know it gets people pissed, and it amuses them, and I can't say I blame them. I myself think it's ridiculous and quite stupid when people go nuts becuase they see a site about how much a person hates their favorite show. And so long as people want and will get a reaction or attention, whether it be positive or negative, they'll continue to do what they do.

I find most Sailor Moon haters to be predjudiced peta'Q who need to grow up and move on with their lives instead of wasting web space with nonsense. :(
"Oh yeah. Someone is definitely tired of breathing." ("The Main Man", Part 1)

I'm writing this Sailor Moon/Green Lantern crossover AU fic called "Emerald Sunrise". It's a hybrid of Action/Adventure, Sci-Fi, Romance, and Comedy. It's about Ami (Sailor Mercury) getting a new boyfriend who just happens to be a member of The Green Lantern Corps. I'm also throwing in some other characters from other animes and some old Hanna-Barbera cartoons from the late '60's early '70's. I'm also illustrating it as well. :oops: Wish me luck. I'm gonna need it.

My brother doesn't really know that I'm a Sailor Moon fan, but my friend Laura's little brother annoys us about it all the time. We don't really care, though.

At 4, he can be forgiven. Didn't you think kissing was gross at that age?

Anyway, I've only found about two or three people who hate the show. One because shoujo anime really isn't his thing, another who hates anime in general (although he mistakenly thought AKIRA got an R18+ rating), and another considered it too young (and girly) for him. Only one of them is related to me (the second one) and his relationship is so distant he has no power over me (he's my father's second cousin's nephew through marriage). All that he's done to megatively impact on my anime watching is threaten to maim me sfter he had to hear Cruel Angel Thesis too many times.

Now nobody die laughing but I am a parent of a 10 year old who loves the dub and likes the sub..The Dub is what led to my addiction to the original. But I live in a small suburbia in the NW and I see alot of haters, people who consider Anime "Porn-Cartoons"!(Just because of the transformation scenes and such) so I get alot of strange looks and Flack for my interest in Japanese Cartoons......... :roll: lol So to the guy who first asked "Just ignore the comments and keep watching".
