I like Moonlight Densetu better because it fits the animation better.

(Song: Coming across a strange miracle...
Animation: The Sailor Senshi's ghosts appear)

While Carry On is a good song, I prefer Moonlight Densetu by far.

Me: This is coming from the kid who doesn't know what Viagra is!
Ko: It's cold medicine, right?
Our Group: NO!!!
Me: Can I just say?
Dylan: Sure, it's no weirder than what normally comes out of your mouth.
Me: (says what)
Ko: .....What's that?
Me: ......*starts crying*
Carley: STEVE! STEVE GET OVER HERE AND TELL KO WHAT VIAGRA DOES!
Steve: See, it's like this: The bridge goes up and the soldiers rush out....

Tiff: Aww, you killed someone for me. That's so sweet in a f***ed up sort of way!

I like them equally, actually, for different reasons. Carry On is like the battle spirit that the Senshi have. Moonlight Densetsu, on the other hand, TELLS why they have such determination to beat Queen Beryl, but it doesn't have the same intensity, in my opinion. So both are appropriate, and both were used, one in the dub and the other in the original.

*nods* see, if you notice, a lot of the songs played during battles and such are WRITTEN for the animation. Like moon revenge...it was written and composed specifically to fit the animation, or vice versa.

I, of course, think Moonlight Densetsu is more proper for the scene, but I think more people on this forum will probably prefer Carry On. I've heard many people say that MD just wasn't strong or fast enough.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

Fast enough? Hmmmm, the could explain why ''Carry On'' was fitful for the dub. After all, when watching the scene, on feels like their fast-fowarding through it, as they cut out so many scenes. On the other hand, the original wasn't fast-like, which could explain why ''MD'' was put into it.

Tiff, is there by any chance that SMC will ever be finished? I would love to see happen, and look more foward to reading your ''SDA''.

I like the Germany ( I think ) mix of Moonlight Densetu better.

Sailor Moon (Radio Edit) Deutsche version

Is this version on another cd anywhere?

Yes, but as to when, we don't know. It's a complicated and irritating issue.

I've heard both the German and Spanish dubs of Moonlight Denestu and I like them better than the Japanese version. I really got tired of Moonlight Densetsu because they played the same opening theme for 4 freakin' seasons long and that gets old quick! So, even though they're mostly the same song, just in a different language, they use some slightly different music, and I think it sounds much better.

As for which song I think is better suited for the final fight scene in episode 46: Moonlight Densetsu hands down. While I am annoyed by Moonlight Densetsu, Carry On annoys me even more, mostly due to some of the corniest lyrics I've ever heard that make me wanna gag. Such as "the evil queen we must defeat." >< If the lyrics weren't just so...corny...I'd like the song better, but they're not, so I really prefer Moonlight Densetsu, even though Carry On has more approiate music.

Except I don't think that was the case there.

Moonlight Densetsu is a terrible battle song, plain and simple. It's just not battle-y enough, like Moon Revenge and La Soldier are. That's why I think Carry On works far better, because it's the kind of song that should be playing during a battle.

..um, i'm not talking about battle-wise. I'm talking about written to fit the movements, the animation. And it's your opinion that it's a terrible battle song. I think it fits fine.

I think Moonlight Densetsu was better, but Carry On fit the scene too. Not as well though, and I hated the line "The evil queen we will defeat!" Still, it wasn't a bad song.

I like both, actually. Carry On was a nice, fast-paced song, however I think I prefer Moonlight Densetsu. I just loved the lyrics and I thought it fit the scene pretty well. I start to tear up at the line "Oh, how I wish to go out with you on the weekend."

I think boht songs are as good as one another Carry On as it fit's the dub battle and Moonlight Densetsu the Japnese version. They both work out but that's just me

Due to the fact I think Carry On is a crappy song, AND because Moonlight Densetsu is one of the greatest Sailor Moon season finale songs on the planet! (with La Soldier, and Sailor Star Song), Moonlight Densetsu wins my vote^^

Like many people say, "Carry On" is a more battle-like theme in terms of the pacing and instrumentals, but "Moonlight Densetsu" certainly has the right lyrics for the final battle. It's a tough one for me to pick, but in terms of which one I prefer to the Beryl fight, I have to go with "Carry On".

And really, the lyrics are SOMEWHAT accurate: Sailormoon/Princess Serenity, alone against Beryl, draws on the memories and spirits of the fallen Soldiers to push past her insecurities and win the day.

I love Moonlight Densetsu, it's an awesome song. However I did like Carry On, only because of the fact that it seemed more battlish at the time. If I could I'd change the lyrics some, but the main mood for the moment is there.

I don't know which I prefer. I kinda liked Moonlight Densetsu because it fit the scene, what with the movements characters made and such. True, it wasn't really a battle song, but it fit. And I like Carry On, but it just seemed too contrived. Moonlight Densetsu fit the movement of that scene, but it was used in other places throughout. Whereas the song Carry On doesn't really fit in any other scene. It was too specific for me. I can identify with the song Moonlight Densetsu, cause I've felt what they're singing about. But I can't identify with Carry On, cause I've never stood beside my dead friends while blasting the hell out of an evil queen.

*nods* that's exaclty my point about Carry On...it's describing EXACTLY what's going on, and i'd rather background music develop a touching mood rather then say "HEY! THEY'RE DOING THIS!"

Like I said, it's a good song and all, but with the stupid dialouge presented in that episode, I just couldn't acccept it. Anyone want to tell me how the hell did Usagi/Serena/Princess Serenity get telepathic powers to talk to Luna? It also features some of my FAVORITE lines (sarcasm intended)

Serena: I hear you Luna, I'm not not afraid anymore!

Queen Beryl: You should be!

Serena: Comsic Moon Power (Funny, that if you change places with Moon and Comsic, you'll get her henshin in S)

Serena: I'm not letting you win this one you witch, my friends are counting on me (you'd really think Beryel would still fight the way she if she heard this?)

Amy: Hey Serena, I'll help you with this assigment if you want

Raye: You're so stubborn Serena, let us help or we'll never speak to you again.

Lita: Yeah, let us help, there's still to many guys to go out

Mina: We haven't known each other that long to end it this way
