I agree, it would be too much trouble to lip-sync something like that.

Me: This is coming from the kid who doesn't know what Viagra is!
Ko: It's cold medicine, right?
Our Group: NO!!!
Me: Can I just say?
Dylan: Sure, it's no weirder than what normally comes out of your mouth.
Me: (says what)
Ko: .....What's that?
Me: ......*starts crying*
Carley: STEVE! STEVE GET OVER HERE AND TELL KO WHAT VIAGRA DOES!
Steve: See, it's like this: The bridge goes up and the soldiers rush out....

Tiff: Aww, you killed someone for me. That's so sweet in a f***ed up sort of way!

It's possible that someone will pick up the rights to dub it and/or subtitle it. It may be that a company like 4Kids licenses it, makes a dub and gets it on TV, and the dub is all that's commercially released it. It may be that a company like ADV licenses it and either (a) makes an uncut dub and releases bilingual DVDs, or (b) releases subtitled-only DVDs.

None of the above are very likely though. In all probability, PGSM will never be licensed in the US.

A dub of PGSM? Quite unlikely, although if that does happen, it'd end up like one of those dubbed Godzilla movies..

Usagi(creepy dub voice):"Oh noooo! I must use my SAILOR POWER to morph!" *her mouth stops moving after 'noooo,' but the dubbers keep dubbing*

Usagi:"MOOOON PRISMIEY POWAAA, MAKEE UPEE!"

Or then it'd probably end up like Power Rangers, with an American cast for the non-senshi scenes, and then suddenly, cut-in footage from the original fight scenes is used and the now-Japanese girls mouth movements are dubbed over.

Mercury(cdv):"MERKYYURI BUBBBLIES BLASTII!"

American Luna Plushie(with old lady dub voice):"Girl Power is a treat that can't be beat! Get em, girlfriends!"

Tuxedo Mask(cdv):"Monsters shouldn't attack young girls in skimpy skirts, it's just not polite! Love is love! Believe in the power of Sailor Moon and all shall be well! That is all!" *Tuxedo's mouth isn't even moving, but we hear the dub voice babbling on and on*

Well, that's worse-case scenario for you..

Hopefully it will never come to the US. I don't think it will and that's a good thing.

Errr...I think if they were going to dub PGSM, SailorStars would be dubbed first. It doesn't make sense to chop off the last anime season but start showing the live action show, which restarts the entire story with Usagi first receiving her powers.

It would be extremely creepy if they brought it to the US, they way it would turn out reminds me way too much of dubbed Godzilla movies.

Ah, don't remind me! It's strange how almost every voice actor/tress in the Heisei series sound A LOT alike.

I disagree. There are a few things to consider:

1. Toei actively doesn't want Sailor Stars to be released in the US. It may be that it would be easier for a company to license PGSM than Stars.
2. The companies interested in licensing PGSM (if there are any) may be different to the companies interested in licensing Sailor Stars. If someone wants to release PGSM in the US, they're unlikely to pursue the license for Sailor Stars out of some altruistic belief that Stars should be released first.
3. PGSM is in its own continuity, and begins at the beginning of the story. Watching it requires no background knowledge. Why, then, should Stars have to be shown first? The anime and the live action series are different series, even if they are related.

There are a lot of recent live adaptations of anime in Japan and all of which has not come to the US. Besides, who would want another series butchered up? Let's hope they don't license it or they could just release a subtitled-only DVD.

You also have to consider: will American kids watch a dubbed foreign program that isn't animated?

If they ever do license it out, I'm voting for completely making the show over (including the battle sequences--they did it with DaiRanger and KakuRanger) with American actors--as long as they do the best translation possible, of course.

Starting at episode 3 I lost interest in PGSM. And I agree with everyone here that said it would be butchered. lol Good reference with the Godzilla movies. Perfect association. And yeah I think that they should release SM Stars dubbed ( :? ya right) before even touching PGSM.. Don't get me wrong... It's good to have a fresh SM series but PGSM is just too eerily similar to Power Rangers to me and I used to like the PRs back in the day. I'd watch the PRs over PGSM any day (no offense to you hardcore PGSMers. ^^)

I don't necessarily think Godzilla movies are the best example of live-action dubbing there is...
"Tell my tale to those who ask... tell it truthfully, the ill deeds along with the good, and let me be judged accordingly. The rest... is silence..." last words of Dinobot, "Code of Hero"
"Is that a poisonous elephant in your pocket or are you happy to see me?" ~another forum
"Monster! I''''m going to collide with you indefinitely as my limbs flail wildly about!" ~NPC, Dragon Warrior VII
"I bet you were thinking how hot it would be to see Tsunade with her gates wide open, inviting you..." ~DuneMan
"To use gaming terms, Tyrannosaurus Rex was a camper--- and he pwned his prey!" ~BaronVonAwesome
"I prefer to beat my opponents the old-fashioned way: brutally!" ~Dinobot

hhahaha, I'm sorry, Dragon King, but that is not going to happen. If it ever does come to North America, it will most likely be redone just like the Power Rangers episodes were.

Never. And hopefully it will stay that way. I'm with the majority vote on this one.
