^^; yay?
I'm not really sure how to react to this, provided that it's valid (I don't keep up with SM in Japan. I barely keep up with SM in America.). Are we talking re-releasing the movies in theater, LaserDisc or DVD? I mean, it's a good thing for the new SM fans to get a chance to own the movies, but it's likely they can pick up the movies from a store or a video rental.
I'm not sure why they would re-release something that can be easily found, like Sailormoon. Unless they are doing something like Pioneer/Geanon[Did I spell that right?] and releasing it as something like a "Signature Series" and reducing the price.

And really, why shouldn't we be afraid? In case you haven't heard, life is terminal. Cigarettes will kill you. So will your cellphone. Your car is a deadly weapon and alcohol is a quiet killer. Don't lick the lead-based paint on the walls. Don't lick the back of a postage stamp and certainly don't lick any strangers! That will bring you down quickly indeed. Don't drink the water but don't drink less than eight glasses a day. Your enviroment is toxic, your natural resources are dwindling, your days are numbered, but what ever you do, don't panic! The stress, don't you know, will kill you.

The DVD release of the movies was limited edition, and went OOP almost immediately. I hope that if what Dragon_King says is true, it also leads to a reprint of the R2 DVD box set of the movies. (At the time I decided not to buy it, but in retrospect I wish I had.)Tempest wrote:I'm not sure why they would re-release something that can be easily found, like Sailormoon.

Well, I had heard about a DVD release last year, containing the three movies plus the specials, like Ami-chan no hastukoi and the Make up! Sailor Senshi (I think that's the title).
So when I saw the box at a con I bought it... but I think I got a bootleg cause i didn't see those bonuses u_u;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; stupid me!

I really don't know what to think about the Sailor Moon movies being re-released in Japan. I kind of find it hard to believe, but not at all completely impossible for them to be re-relased in Japanese theaters. Really, since the anime has already been completed in Japan, I don't really care about what happens to the anime because I'm more concerned about the series in the U.S.

Cool...Sailormoon widescreen in a movie theater. Lucky Japanese Sailormoon fans! Granted, I already own all of the movies in Japanese (and Englsih) on VHS, but I still would like to see it on a movie screen. Movies just seem better that way..
