If he had heard official news of something like that, we'd post it.Dragon_King wrote:Every Japanese Sailor Moon Web site is talking about Sailor V becoming a Cartoon Series! is it true?
If the sites are in Japanese, unless you know Japanese well enough to read them, how do you know this? and just beucase it's japanese doesn't make it true. Japanese fans have sites, too, but that doesn't make if official. Until something is posted on the Sailor Moon Official page, I'm not convinced, and i'm sure nobody else is, either.
And lay off the topic-making, Dragon King.
Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

I got that beat. I go to a forum where a newbie jumped from 0 to 1,000 posts in 6 days. All of it was one-liners and emoticon posts. This was back in June of 03. o_o in 6 days I think I had a total of 20 posts on that forum.

First of all, if every Japanese Sailor Moon site was saying Sailor V was an anime, then every American Sailor Moon site would bring it up, too. Second of all, Toei's official site isn't EVERY Japanese Sailor Moon site. They're others out there besides Toei's. Finally, show us the link to where Toei's official site claims there's a Sailor V anime because quite frankly, just about all of you've said, Dragon King, has made zero since to me.

I think a Sailor V anime would be pretty cool, but I believe it would be better as a movie then a series. Perhaps like an Hour and a half feature. O.o;; perhaps that's just me.

jupiter23, it seems that you have doubled posted. I deleted one of your duplicated posts ^_^.

They could make it into a prequel type of thing. I don't know about making Sailor V into a movie or tvseries, but maybe an OVA. If they were following the story of the manga, I don't think Sailor V would be long enough for a full-fledge tvseries (unless they added lots of filler-in), but it would be too long for just one movie, so I think maybe an OVA series could work, though that's just me.jupiter23 wrote:Since the Sailor V story happened before Sailor Moon, would they have not made a Sailor V anime before they made the Sailor Moon anime? That would only seem to make logical sense, unless they had just recently come up with the idea.

I think it would be easiest to wrap this up by saying a Sailor V anime only exists in the world of Sailor Moon, and since Sailor Moon has stopped, Sailor V will never start.
Me: This is coming from the kid who doesn't know what Viagra is!
Ko: It's cold medicine, right?
Our Group: NO!!!
Me: Can I just say?
Dylan: Sure, it's no weirder than what normally comes out of your mouth.
Me: (says what)
Ko: .....What's that?
Me: ......*starts crying*
Carley: STEVE! STEVE GET OVER HERE AND TELL KO WHAT VIAGRA DOES!
Steve: See, it's like this: The bridge goes up and the soldiers rush out....
Tiff: Aww, you killed someone for me. That's so sweet in a f***ed up sort of way!
Just because a series ended, doesn't mean that an OVA or spin off can't be derived from it. It's very easy to create a "prequal" to an existing or ended series. It just takes a decent script and a studio to draw the animation.Celexa wrote:I think it would be easiest to wrap this up by saying a Sailor V anime only exists in the world of Sailor Moon, and since Sailor Moon has stopped, Sailor V will never start.

A Sailor V anime is like one of my Sailormoon-related "anime fantasies" that don't seem very likely. Eh I don't wanna go off topic so I won't get into the others.
So anyway, I wish the manga would get translated too. I think both are unlikely because it's pretty old now.

It's bad enough that Venus got somewhat shafted in the anime, losing most of her manga personality and only having one character background episode, I don't want to think how they'd make her in a Sailor V anime..that is, unless Naoko was behind it somehow. But a Sailor V anime is just as likely as pigs being able to fly, so I'm not going to worry..for now..*watches for pigs flying* I'd like to see a translated version too, an UNFLIPPED one, might I add! And not much amercanized slang, either..I can't find the original mangas, and I'm not that good at Japanese, so a translated manga would be good..

I wish! I've read the Sailor V mangas, and I totally loved them. It'd be awesome if ther was an ACTUAL ONE IN THE PROCESS!! *coughDoyouhearmetelevisionpeople?cough* Venus is one of my favorite characters, and since she has her own whole story going on, she should get her own anime.
Unfortunately, I doubt it'll happen...*sigh*
