Diseny is Diseny they do lovely kiddes stuff ( Bad Sabta not in that gruop granted) and crappy squeal's of moives. I really dubout they would like Sailor Stars it's just not cutesy enought for them.
DIC I think they know that many don't like thier Dub of Sailor Moon and so won't do Stars purely beucase they like thier offices intact.

You know what I think would be a super duper title for a Disney Sailor Moon dub? Stupid Fantasy of the mind of an Overactive Kid who, of whom fills me with rage.

The point they're trying to make is that the Sailor Moon R movie is the first movie....

Wait, Disney doesn't dub anime series, right? I mean, I think they dubbed "Spirited Away," but that's a movie. I've NEVER heard it was a dubbing company.

Doesn't Disney own Saban Entertainment/Sensation Animation? Perhaps they could do Sailor Stars...

Disney is what is written on my DvD of Spirited Away. I'm pretty sure Disney released Princess Mononoke also.Rainbow wrote:Wait, Disney doesn't dub anime series, right? I mean, I think they dubbed "Spirited Away," but that's a movie. I've NEVER heard it was a dubbing company.

The question is, would they even WANT to do something that they'd have to put a lot of effort into censoring? I mean, Disney films have gotten rather different (Mulan has some slightly more advanced themes than most kids would understand), but the gender-changing and the deaths at the end would be hard to edit out. Though Sailor Moon does have a very Disney-ish ending...a sweet, romantic couple comes together after being apart, and the galaxy is saved with the power of love. And I know Disney can handle the idea of aliens because there were lots of them in Lilo and Stitch. Who knows?

For the Sailor Starlights gender changing part, it would be easy enough to just make them female and cut out the beach episode. But if Disney EVER, EVER EVER EVER EVER EV-*gets knocked by Tiff and Dan* Okay, you get my point, but if Disney EVER decides to dub SailorStars, I'm going to go on a wild rampage to Florida will all the anime loving fiends and tear Disney studios apart!Dragon_King wrote:I think Disney can handle the deaths of the Sailor Scouts. Cosmos: Isn't that overreacting? Geesh you have anger management problems.
For me, no, it's not, and ARE YOU SAYING I HAVE ANGER MANAGEMENT PROBLEMS?!
Me: This is coming from the kid who doesn't know what Viagra is!
Ko: It's cold medicine, right?
Our Group: NO!!!
Me: Can I just say?
Dylan: Sure, it's no weirder than what normally comes out of your mouth.
Me: (says what)
Ko: .....What's that?
Me: ......*starts crying*
Carley: STEVE! STEVE GET OVER HERE AND TELL KO WHAT VIAGRA DOES!
Steve: See, it's like this: The bridge goes up and the soldiers rush out....
Tiff: Aww, you killed someone for me. That's so sweet in a f***ed up sort of way!
If anyone did get it, I'd want it to be Geneon. Like I've said before, it deserves at least one well-dubbed season, and if Geneon uses their usual dubbing studio (Bang Zoom, was it?), Stars could get the kind of dub the series should have had from the start.

For the love of all thats pure and good in the world, NO DUBBING SAILOR STARS ;_; Its my favorite season, I don't want to have to be become Anti-Stars because of crappy dubbing... Besides, I worked hard to aquire my Sailor Stars DVDs -.-.
BUT If Stars has to be dubbed, I just hope Pioneer gets the rights to dub/sub it. By the looks of the Sailor Moon S Heart Collections and the SuperS Pegasus Collections, Pioneer did a wonderful job. ADV, unfortunately, didn't put ANY fun stuff on their dvds (The dub and the first/second seasons uncut), which really pissed me off.

Okay, I was thinking of starting a new topic for this, but I think it fits here. I was trying to find a voice credit for a dubbed episode, so I decided to go the tvtome site for dubbed Sailor Moon. As you can see here http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/Sh ... howid-3444 at the bottom of the screen under news it says that Geneon might get Stars if the DVDs sell well. Can anyone confirm this?
Peachvampiress has an account on DeviantArt. Insanity Within.
And a Myspace account for her clothing designs.

I can partially confirm this. Three years ago, Geneon (under the name Pioneer) did make a statement regarding the SuperS sales and Stars. However, there was no gurantee that they would get Stars if SS did well, just that if it did, they would look into getting it. News article with the text:
http://www.smuncensored.com/news.php?id=18
While I don't know any of the sales figures of any of the Sm releases here, I do know that both Geneon and ADV were after Stars, and neither were able to get it.
