who will Get SailorStars?

If this Message Board (And I'm not saying we need one) had a Poll Forum I would put this on one

We used to have polls... then they were abused. Poor polls.

Anyways, why could we vote on companies who have no plans to grab Sailorstars anyway? I highly doubt DiC or Disney would want Stars. Editing out lesbians is easy enough, but changing-gender senshi henshin? Hardly an easy task.

I don't know ... it would be kind of difficult to do, but the Italian dub managed to change it by claiming that the three Lights call upon their twin sisters to fight for them. Some people have also speculated that they might just make the Starlights female all the time and attempt to edit out Seiya's crush on Usagi, the Inner Senshi all having crushes on the the Three Lights and any scenes showing their chests but that'd be a lot harder to do than the twin sisters idea.

The Starlights are Aliens, Disney could do something with that

They may be aliens, but they're not green-men-from-mars aliens. To other planets, we're aliens. Also considering in the manga, the Sailor Starlights were originally 100% female, and I believe Naoko didn't like this change since Sailor Senshi can only be female. It would be difficult because they look, sound, and talk like Earth people do. They could make them 100% female, but then that may mean a cut episode as far as the ocean episode goes. And I haven't actually seen SMStars, so I wouldn't know what else would need to be changed. But of course, there is episode 200, which they would probably make into one episode. But getting back on the aliens topic, there are still too many complications to work out.

This completely contradicts your previous posts. Let's discuss facts here. Neither Disney nor DiC have any interest in Sailor Moon SailorStars. If they did, they would have said so by now. Disney loves to talk about it's products, just not advertise them. They would do like they did to Spirited Away. Make a big deal about having it, but then not advertise it and release it in only select cities. If DiC were vying for the rights, then they would make a press release about it. SailorStars is one of the most anticipated things in America. Companies know this. How much mail do you think companies like ADV and Geneon get everyday saying "We Want SailorStars!"? A lot. Anyone who was trying to get the rights would say so. Geneon has expressed interest in SailorStars. If Toei gives it to anyone, it will be either them or Funimation. Disney's anime-base isn't large enough for Toei to like them. It will take a shitload of money for SailorStars to be released in the States. I personally believe it will never happen. This topic involves the two least likely companies to get SailorStars, rather than the two most likely. Let's face facts. Disney will not get SailorStars. DiC will not get SailorStars. If my words are proven untrue, then I will eat my boots. And with a webcam set up, so all can see it.

Well, Toei liked what Disney did with Power Rangers Ninja Strom I think they will try to get Disney to dub it.

Toei is the Disney of Asia Here! They will try anything to get Disney in their hands, and Sailor Moon SailorStars is it!

Getting a little off topic here, from what I've seen (I have seen very little Disney, btw) Disney tends to release things completely unlike the Japanese style of anime. Anime and Disney are one, ugly, ugly mix to me. Getting back on topic, SMStars will most definantly not be dubbed by Disney. Pages like The Sailor Senshi Page, Bunny's Tour, and yes even SMU would have said something about. What eveyone would like to know is where you got all this "SMStars is getting dubbed" stuff in the first place. We'll need a URL to an OFFICIAL site, not an angelfire or geocities page mind you, and then we'll talk about "who will get SMStars." But until then, this is nothing more than a rumor.

I think I know what Disney (If they Get Sailor Stars) will do about the Neherenia arc in The First half of Sailor Stars Turn it into their next big Cartoon Movie! I can see it now, Disney's Sailor Moon: The Return of Neherenia.

While that might be a fun idea at first ignoring the disney-dub thing, this would be hard to do. People would have had to watch Sailor Moon to have an inkling of what the movie is about. They would have to make a first movie for anyone to understand it who has not seen Sailor Moon.

Disney generally doesn't do anything outside of Miyazaki works, so why would they dub Stars?

Might, but might not. What if Disney screws it up worse than DiC? The disney movies I've seen are NOT impressive, I doubt they would do a good job dubbing. Besides, there would be too much they'd cut to make a movie. To much violince, Jupiter gets her own panty shot (i'm so proud) and just tons of violence. Also, as one humorous site put it as a joke, although they have a point, "Mamoru looks like he's on drugs with the piece of mirror in his eye" which he does if you're creative enough. Also, there's tons of breaking and broken glass. If the shot of the glass bottle was cut out by DiC in season 1, I shudder to think what would happen to my precious glass breaking scenes in disney's hands.

It's never gonna happen. Why? Because no one's lobbying to get it. Besides, turning the Neherenia arc into one giant cartoon movie is NOT what anyone would call good.
