Favorite and Least Favorite Senshi?

Favorites
Ami/Sailor Mercury: Probably becuase she was the first other main character than Usagi to come into the show, and because she's changed a lot throughout the series. At least a lot in my opinion.

Haruka/Sailor Uranus: I used to hate her back when I watched the dub because I saw her as stuck up, but as I saw more episodes with her, especially the one where she shoots herself with the...gun thing to get her own Talisman thing, I liked her more. Plus once I found out about her relationship with Michiru, I liked her more.

Least Favorites

Chibiusa/Sailor Chibi Moon: I liked her a little more near the end of the R season and during the S season, but that's it. Little kids just...annoy me.

The other characters I'm neutral about. My opinions have changed on them over time. I used to really like Makoto but hated Ami, for example. I can't comment on the Starlights since I haven't seen all of Stars yet and I can't remember the manga well.

Thee have been a lot of shifts in my favorites too. I didn't always care for Setsuna, but I never disliked her. Same thing with Michiru and Hotaru, who I started to like more than I initially did. I used to dislike Usagi, Rei, and Chibi- Usa. Now all of them, except Chibi-Usa rank high on my list. Mako and Minako switched between being my favorite for awhile, and now neither is even my favorite out of the inners. I used to be skeptical about Haruka because she was more boysish. Before i found out she was a good character and all. And Ami? Well she was never a favorite of mine but I liked her at one point.

My favorites would have to be Makoto/Jupiter and Setsuna/Pluto. I love Makoto because while shes very strong shes also very feminine. I also love her because her thunder attacks are awesome. I love Setsuna because of her regal demeanor. She's also very strong mentally and her attack is awesome. I must say, I love how she whispers it...its just so mysterious.

My least favorites would have to be the Starlights. I just don't like them. I can't explain why. Just something about them rubs me the wrong way. The only thing I like about their characters is their devotion to their princess. That is the one and only thing about their characters I truly love.

least fav.is Uranus, cause shes REALLY mean to saturn in SMS (sailor moon S) and mercury cause she is SO snoresville!

My favorite senshi is (obviously) Minako. She also happens to be my favorite anime character of all time. I like how Minako can be at times a responsible leader, and at other times a big ditz. She always makes me laugh; the filler episodes with Minako (Nurse Venus, the Two Timing) are always my favorite. I also admire her dedication to her princess and her cause as exhibited in the manga and in episode 45.

I'm not sure I have a least favorite. I'm not all that fond of Makoto, but this is mainly because she bores me. Come to think of it, I also find Hotaru boring, but she and Chibiusa are such good friends and I'm glad Chibiusa has a friend.

Usagi's my favorite. In all her incarnations, she's the unexpected heroine - who'd expect the girl with the pigtails, who's eternally late, doesn't have much book smarts, and far too naive for her own good to be the heroine?

As for least favorite...normally the Starlights would go here, but their Myu songs have me reconsidering this. If anything, I have to give them credit for those - Chasin' After You and See Me, Boku-Tachi no Jidai are really, really, really catchy.

Well, if you're already familiar with the magical girls genre, then Usagi's pretty typical. I mean, have you ever seen a cold, aloof, genius heroine who wasn't an EVIL genius? In a magical girl anime? Who was the main character?

But that's by Japanese standards. By American standards, no, Usagi's not typical at all. And I don't mean to bash her, I like her a lot too.

She might not be a genius, but the main character from Pretear seems pretty un-Usagi-like for me, at least from my point of view. Let's not forget Utena, which I consider somewhat magical-girl-ish, and Sakura from CCS.

Yeah, there are plenty of magical girls who know their stuff and aren't stupid - Himeno from Pretear is a fantastic example. And there are plenty of ditzes who couldn't save the world except through pure dumb luck.

I really like most of the inner senshi.... all except Ami. Don't get me wrong. There's nothing wrong with her but I like the others more. I LOVE the fights between Usagi and Rei and between Usagi and Minako etc. THey just crack me up.

In response to the authors original post, why do "most of the fans hate Mamoru". I tend to think he is my favorite male character and in the top three for overall favorites.

But that's just me!

My #1 has to be Uranus, she's tough, responsible, flawed, sexy, sensitive (in her own way) she's the complete package.

Same for me, Miyamoto. I really like the interactions between all of the inners (and, yes, I include Chibimoon in with those I like!), but to me Mercury is just....blah. I don't hate her, but I really don't find her all that interesting. As for which of the inners I like most....it's hard to say. I'll go ahead and say it's Mars, but watching the first season uncut really made Moon out to be a much better character than I'd previously thought, and I just love Chibimoon in SuperS.
