Do you realize what you're asking? Manga costs money. Think of how absurd it would be to scan an entire Dickens novel and spread it across the net.

I can help you find Artbook images, but as asfar as full mangas, Im at a loss. I know some File Shares have manga hubs or servers. Try a FS. If that doesn't work, you might have to do internet searches.
And really, why shouldn't we be afraid? In case you haven't heard, life is terminal. Cigarettes will kill you. So will your cellphone. Your car is a deadly weapon and alcohol is a quiet killer. Don't lick the lead-based paint on the walls. Don't lick the back of a postage stamp and certainly don't lick any strangers! That will bring you down quickly indeed. Don't drink the water but don't drink less than eight glasses a day. Your enviroment is toxic, your natural resources are dwindling, your days are numbered, but what ever you do, don't panic! The stress, don't you know, will kill you.

*shakes head* It's going to be downright hard, probably impossible, to find full-page manga scans like you're asking...scanning all of that takes time, and a lot of times people don't want to be the ones paying for the manga and then scanning it so people can leech off of it i nstead of buying their own (I'm not saying that's what you're doing, but there are people out there that do it).

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

When did the peachvampiress say anything about whole chapters? I got the impression that she just wanted a few individual pages. Maybe I'm wrong though.

I'd be happy to scan some pages from my Infinity and Dream graphic novels for you. Unfortunately I won't be able to scan any pages from Stars for you because I lack any of the Stars graphic novels ... very sorry about that. Just specify what pages you want and I'll try to get it done as quickly as possible.

peachvampiress wrote:Actually, if all you have are the novels, then that's ok. I've tried using scans from the novels but they don't scan well (they're at an angle and have this ugly shadow where the spine is). You might wreck them and I could never ask a fellow manga fan to wreck is collection (but thanks anyway :D ). If you have the individual issues, that would be great.
I have some individual issues from the very beginning and the middle of the Infinity arc, and I'd still like to try scanning some pages from the graphic novels. Just tell me all the pictures you want from Infinity and Dream and I'll try to scan them for you.

I don't know if this will help, but Tokyopop offten gives "manga sample's" on their web site. www.tokyopop.com However, they are usually from the first part of the manga/series.

peachvampiress wrote:Thanks Obsessive Touga Fan, I'm not asking for full scans. Just some specific pictures. Tiff, I noticed on your Palace of Moonlight web page that you made a review of one of the movies and had a black and white manga pic of Haruka and Michiru on a bike with some funny lines they were saying, something like Haruka saying "I do not sound like a girl" and Michiru saying "Since when did I become Serena's mom?". I laughed myself silly when I saw that ^_^. So I decided to make pics like those. But the problem is that people only have the colour pics. When I do find b&w pics, their just small sections and they're either:
ahhh I see. My bad! well, a friend of mine made that, and I found it hilarious as well ^^ I hope you find what you need!

I would be able to scan anything from Sailor Stars, but particularly from the last tankouben. My last one is so ripped up I'm buying a new one, so I would be able to rip out any pages and scan them without a shadow. ^.^ If that seems violent, five pages are out already, so what difference would it make? And I find my scanner doesn't create shadows. I found that out when I was scanning in images for my site. And as for size, my scanner makes everything about 20x the normal size, so I often have to decrease size rather than increase it.

Me: This is coming from the kid who doesn't know what Viagra is!
Ko: It's cold medicine, right?
Our Group: NO!!!
Me: Can I just say?
Dylan: Sure, it's no weirder than what normally comes out of your mouth.
Me: (says what)
Ko: .....What's that?
Me: ......*starts crying*
Carley: STEVE! STEVE GET OVER HERE AND TELL KO WHAT VIAGRA DOES!
Steve: See, it's like this: The bridge goes up and the soldiers rush out....

Tiff: Aww, you killed someone for me. That's so sweet in a f***ed up sort of way!

My 3rd volume is that way too. I made the mistake of letting a friend borrow my Stars, and she broke the spines on all of them makin' copies of pages. I HATE it when people break the spines of books, especially when they are MY books, and especially when the are expensive books!! She broke the 3rd volume so bad that several pages fell out or are falling out. I can't even read it anymore because I'm afraid pages will come out. The second volume isn't quite as bad, and no pages have come out of the first one yet either, but I don't want to take chances.

<Offtopic> I have to get a replacement for the 3rd one (one page, more on the way I bet) 9th one twice (First time it was two pages, second time I got chocolate on about 8 of the pages) and the third one of course. The second one is loose, but not bad. The rest are fine. </offtopic>

So peachvampiress, if you want specify which parts you need, email me and I'll scan and send them.

Ick... The old Tokyopop GNs suck so BADLY. My entire SuperS #3 is in shambles, and my #1 is half falling apart. I'd scan stuff for you, but my scanner's broken!

Well, I've only ever personally scanned part of a page and I was so worried about damaging my book that I never did that again. I have all the graphic novels in English some in the original Japanese and they are in little plastic baggies with a cardboard back in a big box that protects them from moisture and sunlight (at $16Cdn each for the English I am overprotective).

But I did figure out a way for you to scan manga without the spine being an issue. Find someone with SMILE. It is an magazine by ToykoPop an it carried all of Stars in it. I only have Sept 2001 (the final installment of Stars) but others will be a whole lot more willing to scan SMILE than their Manga.

My Tokyopop volumes are miraculously all still intact. I'm just figuring out how to use the scanner but it would leave terrible shadows if I copied the pages. The spines are still so strong I can't bend them all the way.
I am a loser!
