Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.

SMC- Manga. Metallia had an actual presence, for one thing, and the Inners actually are powerful enough to kill major villains
SMR- I dunno. I think the manga's story was more detailed, and stuff
SMS- Tie.
SMSS- Manga, no freaking question. Toei really screwed up the anime...
Stars- Dunno. I'm none too fond of the Senshi shooting gallery of the manga, but I'm not impressed by the anime yet...

Classic-Manga. Much less fighting between Usagi and Mamoru, and actual feelings for each other before they get their memories back. Less filler too.
R- This is a tough one. I hated the Mamoru/Usagi breakup from the anime. I wanted to kill anime Chibi Usa. But I did like the villain character development. But then again I liked Pluto's death so much in the manga... I guess I'll go with the manga, because I hated the anime breakup so much.
S-Manga. The anime was good, but the animation itself was crappy. So many episodes used a terrible drawing style I couldn't stand. I did like Haruka and Michiru in the anime, but I liked the manga better for everything else.
SS- Manga. The anime was terrible. Way too much Chibi Usa. Why didn't they follow the manga storyline??
SailorStars-Anime. I didn't see all of it, but I liked what I saw. I didn't like that the Starlights were made into men in civilian form, but not a big deal. I liked the manga ending, but the rest of it was terribly boring.

SM C- manga was done better overall, but the anime's ending was excellent
SM R- manga, if not just for Pluto's death scene, and playing a larger role. And Chibi-Usa's character was done better in the manga. In the anime I like her more in S and SuperS than R.
SM S- manga but the anime was close. Tomoe is so funny in the anime
SM SS-manga by far. I have plenty of issues with the anime, and I only really like the second half
SM Stars- Tie. I don't like how the senshi were killed off so quickly in the manga. The anime had better death scenes. And the manga doesn't have so many funny memorable scenes, or the whole Usagi/Seiya thing. But I like how the manga explained more about the meaning of being a Sailor Senshi, the origin of all life forms, and some other things.

SMC-Hmm, I liked the Anime so much, but...I think I will go with the Manga for Metallias appearence and the whole sword thing was neato.
SMR-Manga, I don't neccesarily despise Chibi-Usa, but I liked her better in the Manga more for some reason O_o
SMS-Manga, Hotaru was so cool, with her whole story, how sad it was v_v I was so sad when you see her arms. I felt so sad for her.
SMSS-I have yet to see it all for Anime, but I know that the Amazon Trio got more actual life development in the Anime, so I say Anime ^_^
SMStars-Hmm, they should combine both so you get character development from the Anime, and...whatever I liked in the Manga...which I forgot v_v So Tie for this one.

This is gonna be tough....*thinks*
SMC: Manga. The anime was good, but it felt like some things just really didn't get presented like they could have. The past in the manga was very powerful and you could get a real feel for how it effected everyone involved. And the last battle was just really awesome!
SMR: tie. I like the Doom tree saga. The rest of it was good too. I like it when villians can have a chance to reform. In the manga, I liked the constant unfolding of deep plot and how you were introduced to new characters like Pluto, Chibi-usa and Diana. Pluto's death, how Chibi-usa became a soldier too and seeing Diana help guard the door. It was very cool.
SMS: Manga. You're looking at a very indepth story. I felt the Outers were treated far better in this one. The story of the Past is being to really take some detailed shape at this point. You get more inside Hotaru and even her friendship with Chibi-usa.
SMSS: Manga. Mamaru and Usagi's individual pasts are revealed more. You have development of Chibi-usa. More senshi revealed and you even get to see all the senshi working together. Gives it a real complete feeling. For a bonus, you get to see human cats and crows. Who could want more?
SMStars: Tie, but leaning toward Manga. I liked the anime. was very good. Funny too. I loved the manga too. The story comes full circle. Chaos is revealed for all seasons. Starlights aren't given much development, but at least we get to see more of their princess. The journey to Galaxia is was more interesting. And What really gives this points: Wedding! Need I say more?

Re: SM Manga vs. Anime
The only two I've seen the anime of AND read the entirety of the manga of are the R and S seasons/Black Moon and Infinity Arcs, so those are the only ones I'll be comparing:
R/Black Moon: It's been a while since I've seen the R anime and it was only the dub version, but from what I remember I think I prefer the manga version of it. I just liked
how much Sailor Pluto was developed, her emotional death scene and how all the Sailor Senshi were captured in the manga ...
I didn't think the R anime gave that much depth to Pluto at all and I just think that the plot of the Black Moon arc was a lot cooler and more interesting than the plot of the R anime.
S/Infinity: I like both really, but I think I prefer the anime more since I think it developed Haruka and Michiru better and gave more depth to their personalities.

SMC-Anime, because it's funnier, and I prefer Zoicite and Kunzite as gay lovers, also the manga doesn't have much of my favorite part of the Classic season, which is Usagi's silliness AND her bickering with Rei
SMR-I'm tied on these, actually, though I'd probably prefer the anime if I saw more of it (will see it soon, raw though...good challenge for Japanese practice!)
SMS-Not sure, though maybe I prefer the manga slightly, since the Outers are funnier in it (they were more glorified as being "perfect" in the anime, at least that's how I see it). Also, Usagi doesn't give the Grail to Mistress 9 in the manga (which was REALLY stupid of her...even though I like her a lot).
SMSuperS-I'm divided on this one actually, though I would probably lean towards the anime for pure humor's sake. I did like the Outer family scenes somewhat (since they were funny and non-perfect) but one of the things that wrecked the SuperS manga for me was Makoto and Rei/Minako's exam battles (I ESPECIALLY hate Makoto's and the R/M is just stupid in my opinion...I don't like manga Rei much anyway because she's not funny like in the anime). In my extremely biased opinion, Ami's was the only good one. Of course, there is the issue that while the manga doesn't have as much Chibi-Usa-sama in it, it at least doesn't have the Amazon Trio do that scary mirror-rape thing. So I'm split on this one.
SMSailorStars: Definitely the anime, since Taiki and Yaten have a bigger part in it. Also it's funnier and not as confusing to me. The only bad thing is that I wish the Starlights had stayed girls all the time.

This will be easy. I prefer the manga for them all. I thought the characters had better development, I thought the stories were better, I just liked everything more. And the biggest one: the artwork. Everything in the manga was gorgeous. Naoko-sama is my idol, and as much as I love the anime, I can't help but feel angry that they strayed so much from her original story.

I couldn't have said it better myself, Parakiss.
Honestly the only main things I like better about the anime are that most of the sub villains are developed more, and there's more memorable humor...

::nods:: agreed! the thing about the anime that pisses me off, is that Toei made the inner senshi WAY too weak. I mean, crescent beam, and supreme thunder is WAY past enbough to kill Kunzite in the manga, but in the anime, crescent beam, and supreme thunder didn't even have an effect on him! other tahn that, i love the animeDinozore wrote:SMC- Manga. Classic: Manga... I thought the anime developed far too slowly, and the manga went into more depth
R: Manga, hands down. The anime had very few "wow" moments.
S: Durr, the manga. MUCH more detail.
SuperS: My favorite manga of all. I loved the fairy tale aspect of it all, and the much more balanced character development.
Stars: Manga. Pretty much focuses on Usagi, something which I thought really brought more emotion to the ending.

Edited as of 10.09.04 to change my preferences
Classic: Manga. I liked how it went nice and fast.
R: Manga. I loved Pluto's death scene.
S: Tie.
SS: Manga. It wasn't as cheesy or stupid, and the story flowed a lot faster and smoother.
Stars: Tie. The anime was a lot funnier and for me no episode tops episode 199. I LOVE ep. 199. The Starlights were also given more personality (Taiki had almost no personality in the manga) and we got to hear the Lights sing. In the manga, Sailor Cosmos was introduced, Yaten is a LOT cuter (....what?), and I personally think there was a whole lot more feel of the true terror and purpouse of the Sailor Wars in there.

Tiff: Aww, you killed someone for me. That's so sweet in a f***ed up sort of way!
MANGA ALL THE WAY! WOOOH! Sorry, I just LOVE the manga.

SMC- anime. I didn't like how in the manga they intrdouced everyone but Venus so quickly, killed the generals every other chapter like they're nothing, and then had like 2 or 3 chapters just about Tuxedo Kamen looking for the Silver Crystal. Though at least Venus has a purpose in the manga besides being used as yet another battery for Sailormoon..
SMR- anime.
SMS- manga. The Outer Senshi are a hundred times better characters in the manga, especially Uranus and Neptune.
SMSS- I'm going to get yelled at for this, but ANIME. It's much funnier and more interesting. Boo hoo, no Outer Senshi in the anime...they're pretty lame in the anime anyway. And the filler side stories, save Ami's, weren't that interesting in the manga anyway.
Stars- haven't seen enough of either to really say.
