You can post here anything that annoys you about the dubs and the Japanese originals. Here's what annoys me:
The Japanese originals:
-The voices:The Inners sound like mice with bellyaches..Fisheye sounds like a beaver with a toothache..Zirconia sounds like one of the Chipmunks suffering from laryngitis...Michiru sounds like Rocky the Flying Squirrel who's had too much sugar. And Haruka's voice? Well,if any of you have read the story of "The Wolf and the 7 Kids",you'll recall that the wolf ate chalk to make his voice sound softer so he could fool the 7 goat kids into thinking their mother returned from the market. Well,Haruka sounds like she ate chalk to make her voice sound ultra-soft;she also sounds like she's bored to tears while talking.
-Some of the lines themselves:I actually read some of the subtitles while watching,or they make the character seem mean and very rude. The lines that talk about Japanese culture aren't so bad,though..it's lines like Uranus calling Mini_Moon "Idiot" or Haruka and Michiru repeating the same redudant things about finding the Holy Grail/Purity Chalice. At least the dub gave the characters some personality.
-Some of the names: Naru-it sounds like something you'd name a lioness at the zoo;Unazuki-that sounds like the name of and African tribe;Umino-it sounds like some cheesy board game. The worst names of all? Mamoru,Kunzite, Chibi USA(I kept waiting for a Chibi Scotland,Chibi Australia and a Chibi Africa to show up...),Kaolinite(sounds like a bad type of flooring),Kalaveras and Cooan. And the worst one of all: Ail(Hi-I'm an alien and I'm always sick. That's why I'm named Ail.)
-Some of the attack names: Some of the attack names sound really bad or cheesy. Take "Burning Mandala",for example-that sounds like something you'd name a race horse. "Shabon Spray" sounds like some sort of new aerosol spray.I personally think that "Mars Fireball Surround" sounds better.
The dubs:
-Grandpa Hino's voice in the first 2 seasons;he sounded like he was talking while being constricted by a huge python.
-The names Amara and Trista: Amara sounds like something you'd name a cat(Hey-has anyone cleaned Amara's litterbox today?),andTrista sounds like a kind of tea(Have a glass of Trista! It's refreshing and it tastes good!).
-Some of the other names: Raye? Mina? The god-awful Bureau of Bad Behaviour?Mrs. Helen Lambert? Patricia Haruna? Really now-who comes up with some of these names?
-Some of Rei's lines: Some of Rei's lines are really uncalled for;lines like" If you're not smart enough for Darien, maybe you should just let him go." and "So,Darien-are you gonna dump Serena if she needs dentures"?
So what bugs you about the originals and the dubs?
What annoys you about the dubs and the Japanese originals?

Okay, first off...we already have topics floating all over about things you don't like about the dub or the originals. Find them, and post in them.
It states in our rules to please find previously-existing topics before creating new ones, just to be sure we don't have double topics. Please be sure to read the rules before posting again.
Secondly...the whole of your rant against the original version was, quite bluntly, insulting to the Japanese culture.
The names of the characters are REAL Japanese names...they aren't something they pulled out of their ass after fiddling with some scrabble tiles. Mamoru happens to be a very pouplar name in Japan. And Chibi-Usa's name came from Usagi's...it literally translates to "Little Usagi". It isn't referencing the United States of America.
Please, tone down your insults. As for the voices? This is the way Japanese people talk. The voices of Japanese women/girls tend to be more high-pitched. It's a cultural differnece, and while it's completely within your right of opinion not to like it, it is NOT appropriate to completely insult cultural differences in individuals left and right.
In the future, tone down your rants and keep it about the show itself, and not necessarily about things that are part of an entire culture.
If you still wish to post about your annoyances, please use the search function and find those topics which address those points.

Joey: The question is, Rachel, does he like you? ''Cuz if he doesn''t, then it''s all just a moo point.
Rachel: Huh...a...moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It''''s like a cow''s opinion. It doesn''t matter....It''s moo.
