I don't use the neo queen serenity is an unaging goddess plot line because basically I find that to be really bad writing on the part of the author (but thats just my opinion feel free to disagree).
Basically what happens is the Great Grandson of Chibi-usa takes the throne and the silver crystal and starts a nazi like regime where anyone who had the blood of someone from nemesis is hunted and killed. The players take on the role of a resistance cell trying to overthrow the current king and start a new government.
Anyway the reason I bring this up is to show what one potential problem with a monarchy, even a fairy tale one like the one in sailormoon, sure the current leader is great and wonderful and all that, but a government where the leader is chosen solely on the basis of their parents will ultimatly end badly, be it someone like the villian in my game, or possibly a Henry 8th, or Richard 3rd or... the list goes on.
I know the manga fixes this problem by having Neo Queen Serenity be unaging and therefore the ruler forever but another problem comes out of this. When her reign enters its like 6000th year if this problem hasn't arisen already (which it most likely will have) it cant be long off. That problem is known as "The weight of eternity." Neo Queen Serenity might be very powerful but she still possesses the heart of soul of a human, and therefore the day to day concerns of ruling a large kingdom is going to get tedious as the centuries press on, and she's eventually going to get bored with it and that will turn into an "I dont really care anymore" attitude and this will lead to revolts which will end with her abusing the power of the silver crystal, and thus she will herself become the "evil" ruler.
Well those are my theorys anyway.
And no I dont think Im taking this too seriously, personally I love analysis like this. It's fun
