Sailor Moon for Adult Siwm?

Whould you like to have Sailor Moon for Adult Siwm? I vote yes.

I vote no. Sailor Moon is nowhere near violent enough to necessitate being on Adult Swim. Aside from having to censor episode 200 a bit, the whole series could go on Toonami.

I agree with Starscream the level of maturity on Sailor moon is not high enough for Adult swim. Most of the cartoons on that push the envelope either sex or violence wise and arent geared for primetime viewing because of that content. Even if they showed the uncut version of sailor moon theres not really anything in my opinion that is that racy for it to be featured in that slot.

No, I wouldn't. Sailor Moon just isn't all that "adult." Even in Japan Sailor Moon is consider a kid's show. Just look at all the merchandise and character image cds that are obviously geared towards young girls. Furthermore, Adult Swim has no interest in shoujo anime at all and I feel like the show would feel out of place among all the action-oriented anime and comedy cartoons. Adult Swim even refuses to air Tsubasa because they claim that it's "too girly" for them even though it's clearly a shounen anime. If that's how Adult Swim acts towards shounen anime that doesn't have non-stop violence in it, then I'd rather they stay far away from shoujo. Maybe Sailor Moon wouldn't have worked on Toonami years ago, but their censorship regulations are more relaxed these days. If Toonami can air Naruto with little edits and even air Princess Mononoke uncut, I see no reason why Sailor Moon couldn't work uncut on Toonami.

As much as I would love for it to come back on TV. I'd have to vote no for [adult swim]. Here's why:

1) They would use the DIC and Cloverway dubs which, needless to say are, cut up like an Elm Street child, and Americanized like an Elis Island avrivee.

2) Even if they did an uncut dub its still not mature enough (whether you measure it by: sex, violence, social commentary, or philosophizing) to be on [as]; it still is a kids show after all.

3) It was one of Toonami's hit shows and its just better suited to that block. (Although I wish they would go back to the days of storyline's and viewer involvement, but thats another rant for another time).

4) The target demographic of the Show (Sailor Moon) and the Block (Adult Swim), are radically different so they would have trouble attracting advertising for the show's timeslot. It would be assumed that the target demographic wouldn't be up to watch it.

5) Too many [as] fans would complain, because they would find it too kiddy.

6) If they put it on weeknights I probably wouldn't be able to stay up to watch it. Since they love putting anime on late, 12:30 AM, and older stuff like Sailor Moon on at 2 AM. I couldn't stand it being on their just taunting me, just out of reach because of work or school.

So as you can see it would be better on Toonami then Adult Swim. Hey Toonami brought DBZ back to boost their ratings. If the license becomes available again I wouldn't be surprised if Williams Street scoops it up and plops it somewhere between DBZ, Teen Titans, and Naruto (Ultimate Super Ratings Spectacular GO!!!!!!!)

Simple, there is no uncut dub for Sailor Moon. Cloverway has and "uncut" version of S and SS, but from what I understand that's just for the video it uses the same audio for both. And since CN doesn't show subtitled anime (recent Naruto Openings excepted) they would have to use the kiddyfied+Americanized version.

No. Sailor Moon isn't an adult show. Putting Sailor Moon on a late night block geared toward adults might ruin the shows reputation. It'd give people the wrong impression that Sailor Moon is strictly an adult show, full of gore and sex (because it is an anime, after all ¬¬), and a lot of people might feel mislead on what the show is really about.

Sailor Moon has no gore, no sex, nothing truly adult. There's no reason for a non-adult show to be on a schedule block for adults. I'd rather see Sailor Moon put on the Cartoon Network block, preferably not pulling a Voltron and coming on exclusively at 4:30am.

Make sense? I hope so ^^;

Therefore, it would not make any sense whatsoever to have it on Adult Swim. The Japanese version has a few mature highlights, but it's still not an adult's show. And the american version CERTAINLY isn't mature in any way.

When did I ever claim that there was? I'm being purely hypothetical here. You know, IF, there was an uncut dub.

Sailor Moon would have to come on in the early hours of the morning, like 300-600 AM EST ... since thats where Adult Swim begins to loop.

During those hours, theres really nothing playing.

If we're going to have an adult-oriented re-dub, I'd rather have LittleKuriboh just parody it with Sailor Moon: The Abridged Series.

It might not fit, but Adult Swim has put on all sorts of things that didn't fit. Pee Wee's Playhouse, Cartoon Planet (teh roxx0r) and Saved by the Bell come to mind... Voltron doesn't fit either, but it's a welcome improvement

But to be honest, it would be nice seeing a subtitled version on Adult Swim. If not, at least later in the evening. Because Naruto isn't a problem, why should Sailor Moon be...

Try watching the Japanese Sailor Moon episodes. The original Japanese Sailor Moon was made for teens, & the Sailorstars series has explict content,particularly nudity & Mild Language.

And Adlut Swim is ment to hold shows that are made for people at the ages of 14 to 17. That means Adlut swim is for Teens & Mature people.

That can be the reason way Sailor Moon should be on Adlut Swim.
